Count down to liquid diet and over eating
Just a question. I have 3 days left until i start my liquid diet and then i begin my count down to surgery. I have basically been eating whatever i want whenever i want because i won't be able to do it ever again really. And it doesn't help that my friends are trying to be supportive and help me pig out. Its like a last supper that has been lasting for too long. I feel gross, and i know i am gaining even more weight that i will have to work off eventually. I am just wondering if i am alone in this or if anyone else has had similar situations. How do i make it stop?
Also i have two friends that want to do this liquid diet with me, but i am not sure if i want them to. I would be nice to have someone to join me, but i don't want to deal with their struggle to keep on it too, its hard enough for me to keep myself on it. I don't know what i should do. They don't need surgery and they don't even really need to diet. They just keep saying they are doing it to support me. Any ideas?

I did my 'last supper' for 2 weeks before the liquid diet... I was sooo sick and stuffed myself silly.. it really wasnt even fun. Honestly I wouldnt worry once the liquid diet starts you will have to buckle down for the 2 weeks until surgery. If you feel gross and want to stop then just cut back or pick specific treats/dinners you want and stick to that *shrug* maybe just cook at home so you can control what you have and the portion size?
I would not suggest your friends do the liquid diet - yours is *physician supervised*... its really not something reccomended to do unless directed by a dr. You are doing yours for a purpose - the liquids can be hard on a body and they could possibly have issues from doing so... typically its overall 'safe' but again its not reccomended 'just because'. Either way I cant imagine them sticking to it for the entire two weeks... you have a reason, while they want to support you they really dont have a reason not to cheat/eat what they want etc. Its also not cheap to do - lol.

Blah, i have been doing the same thing. I keep going on these bouts of " i won't be able to eat this again"...and then chowing down. I really do feel icky. I mean, i kind of gained weight just to make sure i could get the surgery anyway, and now i can't seem to start eating correctly again! I'm like, just eating to eat. I don't know how to get out of the rut!!
On a side note, i actually DO want my husband to go the liquid diet with me. He's been fussing about wanting to lose 35-40lbs anyway, and i don't think i could stand him eating pizza, and delicious pastas and other things while all i get is a protien shake *lol*
