I have a date!!!
Emily I hadn't even thought of that, even more reason to look forward to it.
I was just so excited about the stinking date I hadn't put two and two together. It is also the day before my 26th birthday, so happy birthday to me!
Your date will be set before you know it...just keep doing all the things you can control, that is what I had to do. I couldn't control the insurance company, and I couldn't make the nurse call me to schedule my appt (that didn't stop me from calling 4 times last week ;) ).
Thanks for the encouragement ~ Leslie
How cool is that! It's like a rebirth for you! Happy early Birthday!!!
I finally got a straight answer from my surgeon's office today. I know they are a busy office and my surgeon has a lot on his plate due to Big Medicine on TLC but still. The girl I talked to said that my paperwork is now sitting on Dr. Davis' desk and all he needs to do is sign off on it and they will submit it to insurance. I will be glad once that is done because then I will be able to start harassing the insurance company instead of my surgeon's office.
You'll be in my prayers on the day you go into surgery! Blessings to you on your journey!

Yeah, it's exciting! I had written into the show and they called and asked me if I would be interested in sharing my story on TLC. Things got halted though when I found out BCBS of TX required me to do a 6-month diet. The father of the father/son team, Dr. Robert Davis, will be doing my surgery. He is just as sweet and compassionate in person as he is on TV. He is so passionate about doing this type of surgery for MO people. I don't know if TLC will still use me for the show but I feel so honored to have Dr. Davis do my surgery.
