I joined a dating/friend site. haha its called Okcupid and its free... i figure id better take baby steps into this whole dating world.  My back story is that I am 21 never been kissed and the only time that I dated a guy was my best friend Mike who told me once we became best friends (and were "broken up") that he is gay. haha but that brought us closer which was nice.  but in the end no boyfriend and I want one! so my friends and my dad have been bugging me to sign up on one of those sites but it kinda creeps me out a little but i finally did it. So we shall see how it goes.

Although I didn't meet my boyfriend on a dating site, I did meet him online! I met him in an online game, we've been together for 4 years now, living together for almost 2! If you meet someone online that you start to build a relationship with, just take it slow and be careful. I've met friends from online in person a few times - I just always play it safe (meet in a public place, bring a friend, etc). Good luck!

Thanks... yea i know all the little rules my friend is a vetran of the online sites so she tells me all of the things she does and yea thats why I am starting slow with this site bc i wanna trust people but i know i cant fully and at least not everyone!

This is awesome! I know how you feel! I was 19 & had NEVER been kissed! I :::jokingly::: vowed if I hadn't been kissed by my 20th birthday I was becoming a nun or SOMETHING! I had been a member of a dating site and met a guy when I was about 17 or 18. We talked, and talked...he wanted to meet, I was scared...we talked online for 2 years before I FINALLY (scared out of my mind) agreed to meet. So off I got with a friend to meet him. Met him...about a month and a half two months later he moved in, that was 4 years ago the beginning of April!  It's totally creepy at first! but seriously, be cautious, alert and smart about it, and you could find something wonderful!

Good luck girl....my friend made me join a dating site recently...I still find it kind of weird, but it's kind of nice getting some attention from guys....just scary meeting them in person!  I still have fears that they won't like what they see and all that jazz....I just get really nervous!!! I've heard about OkayCupid...sounds like a fun site....let us know how it goes!!!! 

I wish you the best of luck on the dating site. That's how I met my current boy toy. We talked online and on the phone for 6 months. He lives in Cali and I was down there for a week at disneyland and met up with him. I almost chickened out since I had heard a lot of crazy things about meeting people online. But I'm glad I didn't hes absolutely amazing and normal lol. Just be careful and take things slow! Best of luck Kira
