Getting hit on?!

So I am curious to hear from you gals about WLS and getting hit on. I've often heard that after losing weight, the beauties on these forums start to get more attention from guys.
I, myself -- still PRE-OP -- either don't notice myself getting hit on when it happens... or when I do, I literally think that they have ulterior motives (aka trying to rob me, lol). I am curious --  now that you have lost weight, what is your experience? How did you deal  with being hit  on when it first started happening after WLS? I've always been told to be careful when that time comes because some of us can become very  vulnerable.
Just curious!!!

Its completely unnatural lol.  These boys come up with crazy lines he he.

At first I was completely uncomfortable with the attention.  I was ignorant to their words and actions, oblivious.  Unfortunately, the more and more it happens, its better to become comfy with it and come up with your own one liners he he. Just wait for YOU to hit on men, that's the kicker right there.  It's totally risky and fun, but a little pep talk with the girls is all ya need :) But in essence, its all fun and games.  Men won't be the only people to start noticing you.  The old ladies at church will be commenting, the parents' friends, the women in your life.  You'll be bombarded with compliments and encouragement. (I really hope I'm not coming across as conceided or whatever, lol.  That sounds kinda weird....)

No Jaci, that actually sounds WONDERFUL!!!! I love complimenting men and flirting with them --- aka -- making them feel great about what they have. My dream.... lol.... is to get to my goal weight and to flirt with the guys I find attractive (bigger men, bright personalities) and make them feel worth it. hehehe. I know it's odd, but I think we all deserve it. :-)

As time passed I came to the realization that I wasnt hit on when I was a 'big girl' because I didnt want to be. I put off a vibe that said "stay away" and had a super wall up - well more like a moat, a barb wire fence then a way. I also did my best to 'blend in' and not attract attention. As I lost weight I gained confidence... I had always cared about how I looked when I went out and did my hair/makeup but found with more clothing options my style had evolved - I took more pride and pleasure out of how I looked when I walked out of the house etc. So, when I started to get hit on I knew it was because I wanted to be hit on... I dealt with it by having open arms lol. I enjoyed it... it was nice to get hit on and be fawned over... I realized I could attract men with my personality.. I did have to have my ta-tas hanging out or be 'that girl' at the club/bar, I didnt have to be loud or dance like a hooch to have attention... it really was an amazing thing. I used it as a learning experience to ease myself into the world of 'normal'.  Some people get mad and angry... they want to be rude and tell guys "oh you wouldnt have hit on me 6 months ago when I was fat' and all that stuff - but honestly they havent come to the realization that the person you were before is not who you are now. No matter how much you want to deny it you will change as time passes... it doesnt mean youll 360 or even 180 but there will be changes. Anyways, take the flirting as fun and innocent - use it to perfect your small talk skills... heck use it to get some free dinners or a drink or something (lol, the men will love that one)... you dont have to jump into ye ole sack with everybody who shows attention but its still fun to use ones womenly charms - guess a power trip or what not. Use it to gain confidence so you can say HELL YEAH IM A SEXY BIIIIIITCH. lol. I always tell my BF hes lucky to have such a hot GF - I may laugh when I say it, but heck I mean it. Hope this makes sense... Im rambling today because I am tired and cannot focus all my thoughts properly. lol.

Well...I never get hit on now. Unless I'm too stupid to notice it. BUT I did get really skinny in high school and had that happen.Skinny+boobs+long blonde hair=guys. One guy even sent me a dozen roses and balloons...delivered during history class! I was only 16/17 at the time but it was fun getting so much attention when you had been invisible your whole life. The part I didn't like was that I had several guy friends who suddenly wanted to be more than friends. I also dealt with a near date rape situation by a much older guy. Obviously that was a negative reinforcement to losing the weight. Just make sure to be picky! And have fun...enjoy the new you.
