Cigna Approval Process

So my surgeon's office sent my paperwork over on Thursday 3/27/08. I called Cigna today and was told the Nurse has it and is reviewing the paper work. Where at in the approval process is this? Does any one know?

It would be considered as being "in review". Cigna typically has 30-45 days to review a request by law (they vary by state, usually 30 days is the norm). I would suggest calling once a week to check status. Many times Cigna will review much quicker but its hard to say - some people get an answer quickly, others wait. Really depends on how busy they are and if they need any additional information.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)
