Lost and Found
I've lost 137 pounds - Go me! That was about two months ago, since then I've found 8 of them - WTF?
I'm not going to say that I don't know how though. I know how I've added it. I also know that some "bounce back" weight is normal. I just can't convince myself that is acceptable. My exercise has been virtually non-existent. I have been breaking just about every rule - especially frequency and ammounts that i have been eating, and the proportions of macronutrients have been skewing more and more carb-heavy - and I'm not even talking complex carbs here, I'm talking white flower, potatoes etc....
So, I'm owning up to it. and trying to get back to basics, just as suggested in the "when the ra-ra is over post" Today i measured my food and am working on obeying the 5/30 and 6 times a day rule...Please just wish me luck and hold me accountable that's all I ask...
I was interested in that 5/30 rule because the majority of us are told 30/30... 5 minutes before eating just doesnt seem long enough to me?
Great job getting back on track! You identified the issues and are working on kicking their butt! Amazing how quickly weight can refind you eh? As for the exercise - its getting to be a nice time of year so get your butt outside! I just read an article that Arizona was one of the top ten unhealthiest states - so get to working on improving that! ;-) Arizona is counting on you! (lol. im a cheeseball)

I was told 30/30 also....I was also told that it isn't OK to pick and choose to my own liking the rules I follow based on the advice other patien's clinics - I'm such a rebel! ....Seriously though, I think if I strive for 30/30 but fall a little short like 15/30 it won't be the end of the world....
As for exercise, I have been trying a little more...I've been hiking some lately, although this week it has turned hot - upper 80's - we shall see. I'm signed up for X-T 2...my personal goal is to at least get in some exercise once a week, and to hopefully get my weight back down in time for my trip to europe in two weeks - although that may be a stretch
Haha, is that a threat or a promise
.........I haven't heard from Brock, I invited him to go hiking or something to get warmed up for XT2 but I think he is just taking it sleazy, err, I mean easy
...I will probably go to the gateway nutrition meeting this month, I usually go to the psych one (cuz that's where I need the most help
) but I'll be in Europe that week next month!
Have you been out hiking lately, the wildflowers are incredible right now, this might be the last good weekend though, because the heat is frying them now...I might go tommorow - its my surgiversary! I was thinking about climbing camelback, early before it gets hot...are you going to that big post-op conference tommorow in Tempe?

I hear the wild flowers are great I would love to do some hiking soon but I dont know if I will get our before the heat is to much to bear, I usually just hit up the gym. Tomorrow I have some BS picnic to go to so not going out to Tempe, besides gas is to much to drive that far since I don't have a job now. I think I need a prius
