it seems that the bigger i became, the worse the skin on my face got and now its all porous and ruddy looking and i hate it.
anyone else here get better skin after the weight came off?
I never had too many issues with the skin on my face... I did use to turn very red when I was hot and that has improved much surgery since I am cold 99% of the time now. My cheeks are still a little reddish but not to the extent they were pre-op.
As for the rest of my skin.... I use to have white bumps on the upper part of my arms and would get extremely dry elbows (I always had to keep up with them) since surgery both issues have resolved. I also use to get heat rashes under my belly and rashes from thighs rubbing and now have neither issue :-) My stretch marks use to get these strange white bumps on them that would hurt and that hasnt happened since surgery either.

Sorry if this is TMI, but since you asked...
On my face, my pores do seem a bit smaller and I had these darkish patches on my cheeks towards my ears. They're fading. I do have a few more breakouts than normal because of the hormonal fluctuations going on right now but nothing some clearasil won't help.
Like Jennifer K said, the bumps on my arms (I think it's called keratasis or something like that) have gotten way better and my elbows are not as dry. I do have issues getting in all my liquids though so I've been slathering lotion nearly very day to counteract dryness on my legs and ankles especially.
Pre-op, I also had pretty bad bumps on the underside of my boobs, I guess from the friction and heat and whatnot. Gross, yes, but thankfully that cleared up almost immediately!
Mind you, I'm only 7 weeks out but aside from the dryness (which is my fault), my skin has gotten better.
Well, since pictures can probably tell more than I can:

(please excuse the bloodshot eye, I just dug an eyelash out of there!)
I had some serious discoloration problems on my *****below my lips). Honestly, I can still see it a little bit, but it's definitely not as bad. I also had discoloration on my neck, breasts, and arm pits -- pretty much all gone. My mom thinks my face looks a lot better.
I feel like my pores are smaller too. I get a lot less acne.
My skin has always had that natural blush. Maybe it's rosacea? I dunno. Doesn't bother me too much.

the skin on the rest of my body is very even and smooth with no discoloration or bumps or anything anywhere, thank god, but my facial skin just dont match! i did notice after i lost 20 pounds the little pimples went away but now i just have dry porous skin and its to the point where im thinking of getting some skin resurfacing done.
