Eatin' Good in the 20's Neighborhood - Saturday / Sunday
I'm sorry that I haven't posted this thread the past couple of nights. I have been in a funk due to some bad news, but I'm getting over it. I had a dr appointment and found out that the complication that won't die is not over and will not be over in time for me to go to Rome this summer like I had planned and was so excited about, so I had to cancel my trip. I'm going to shoot to do it next summer or possibly on my winter break (which is 6 weeks long) this year.
But in the meantime I have eaten well! I played in the kitchen with salads, WLS friendly versions of Chinese food and nuts. So it has been a good couple of days.
Highlights of Wednesday-Friday....
Golden delicious apples, lots of peanuts and almonds, leafy greens, cukes, tomatoes, Italian dressing, peanut M&M's, steak caesar salad, home-made broccoli peanut chicken over some rice noodles, some thin crust pizza, 2 crunchy tacos, 1/2 a chicken quesadilla, and of course plenty of coffee and water.
I will be heading to my mom's house in a couple hours, so I won't be able to post tonight or tomorrow, but I still wanted everyone to be Eating Good, so post away!
As for me, so far today....
10am - 4 oz espresso, 6 oz skim milk, 4 oz 2% milk, 1/2 oz sf hazelnut davinvi syrup, 1/2 oz sf vanilla davinci syrup
20 oz water
11:30am - 2/3 cup caesar salad (romaine lettuce, baby spinnach, cukes, shredded carrot, quartered cherry tomatoes, fresh parmasan cheese, a couple crutons and of course caesar dressing) topped with 2 oz thin cut seasoned steak strips
20 oz water
2pm - 3 oz peanuts, 1 oz peanut M&M's
Tonight we're going out with my grandparents, so I'm not sure what I'll have. But I'll be good! I hope everyone has a happy Easter (despite the dove chocolate bunnies
)
