New and 4 days Away!

Hi Everyone, I have been a lurker for the last couple of months.  The information here is amazing.  I will be having lap. RNY on 3/26.  I've lost 40lbs since I started the journey.  At my first consultation, I was classified as "super obese", but a few weeks ago, I was down graded to "morbidly obese".  What a unique thing to celebrate! I have told quite a few people at work what I am doing and a few friends and family.  For the most part, everyone has been very supportive.  But, I am finding that other people close to my age (26) are questioning me saying that I have so much time and my youth to loose another 160-180lbs.  I tell them that I have lost 40lbs several times only to gain 50-60lbs back.  They get the point and we carry on to other conversion.  But gosh, I didn't think this kind of feedback would come from them. When I told my parents who are both in their 50's, I was prepared for all sorts of judgment.  To my surprise, they were like, "good luck with that and let us know what we can do."  That was a relief! Congrats on your upcoming surgery date!!!!!!!!!!  This is a great (and addicting) forum!!!!  Let us know if you have any questions before or after your surgery!!!!!  You are going to do AWESOME!  Glad to hear your parents were so supportive, as for the other people...I've found that some people just don't understand and never will...do what makes you happy and who cares what they think!!!!
