With just ten days left in the Exer-Thon, I have finally gotten off my butt for some "ofiicial exercise" I brought along my camera to mark the occasion....It is said that the best exercise involves doing something you actually enjoy, and for me that involves flowers and photography. So yesterday my wife played hookie from work and we took advantage of the the rare afternoon without kids to check out the bumper crop of wildflowers that the desert has sprouted after an unusually wet winter this year. Let me know what you think! Poppies are the star of the show this time of the year... Enjoying the view...notice that I suffer from "noassatall" disease! ...cool picture of the trail and a sagauro cactus... River of Gold! Poppies make me sleepy!

Actually it is here in the Valley in the Supestition Mountains. I took the Jacob's Crosscut Trail from Lost Dutchman State Park (located on AZ 88 about six miles north of US60 via Idaho Rd. through Apache Junction....the trail is easy and relatively flat except for crossing a few washes...I plan on taking my four year old daughter on it this weekend...p.s. I heard the blooms on picacho peaked two weeks ago, so save the gas and head east instead!

BEAUTIFUL!  I am so jealous.  All I've been looking at outside since October is snow, slush, more snow, dirty snow from trucks spreading sand on the roads and ice.  Winter in Wisconsin lasts forever and it sucks.  So thanks for the glimpse of green and yellow and blue skies!  So pretty! And I love the white socks...very sexy
