Eatin' Good In The 20's Neighborhood - Monday
I'm impatient lol. I know you must be busy with school and Prudence and packing your wound and whatnot, Amy.
MENU:
B - 4 oz Protein pudding (21g)
L - 1 chicken and apple sausage (10g) (I won't be having these any more...just don't sit right)
S - 1oz monterey jack cheese (6g)
D - 3 pizza bites w/ 1oz alfredo sauce for dipping (11g)
Only 48g protein today. I just didn't feel like eating. The chicken sausage didn't settle and that added to the discomfort. Try again tomorrow.
MILES:
I started a new interval training program where you go from high to low intensity over and over followed by a circuit training thing for weights. I don't remember being this wussy before surgery...I guess I'm still recovering. Anyway, 25 minutes cardio and 15 minutes of circuit.
OTHER:
Dropped 3 lbs last week! 232lbs
I tried to get back on track today...tryin to limit carbs for a variety of reasons and trying to stick to the 30 minutes before and after no drinking rules and three hour intervals between meals. I did pretty well, eating five times and drinking 80 oz of water...
breakfast - coffee w. coffemate and a string cheese 30 minutes later
am - string cheese and four slices of turkey and honey mustard
lunch - a grilled chicken breast and honey mustard
dinner - a bowl of veggies with ground turkey with a few whole wheat penne noodles, and a bit of tomato sauce and shreeded cheese
8 pm - string cheese and deli ham with honey mustard
11 pm - string cheese and a few slices of smoked turkey with what else? honey mustard of course!
high protein, low-carb, and no grazing! Now, if I could just stay away from Costco....
I'm so glad you're there to back me up. LOL. As long as somebody posts this it's all good. I got caught up in playing with my new phone last night and forgot. Seems like there is a trend, because I did too many carbs yesterday too, and really blew it - stupid carbs!
6am - 1 ka****LC honey almond flax granola bar
8 oz 100% orange juice
8am - sf ff caramel macchiato w/ a double shot of espresso
(Met w/ Dr. Baker, Prudence exploded, everyone went home happy)
Noon - 4-5 chips w/ spinnach artichoke dip, 1 triangle of a chicken quesadilla from Applebee's
20 oz water
2 oz almond M&M's
5pm - 1 ka****LC honey almond flax granola bar
20 oz water
8pm - 1/4 Fontega Chicken Panini, 3 oz french onion soup, and 3 bites of a french baguette from Panera Bread
I think it is time to cut out the kashi bars - they are higher in carbs even if they are relatively low in sugar content and I think they are making me crave more carbs. I didn't total my nut stats up yesterday because I already know it was bad. I'm working on doing better today though!
Amy 293/140 - AT GOAL!
I have three boxes of Kashi bars but I'm too scared to try them. I'm afraid they'll be dry. And I'm having a hard enough time fending off carb cravings and I barely even eat them. DH had a bag of sour cream and cheddar chips on the fridge and I wanted them soooo bad. I didn't, obviously. But man they're sirens.
