Eatin Good in the 20's Neighborhood - Saturday!

I've been a good little student most of the day, though I didn't get as far as I wanted - I never do.  Oh well, whatcha gonna do.  But I didn't eat like I needed to...bad Amy.  I've been low on cals and protien this week.  Gotta work on that I suppose... 10am - 4 oz espresso, 6 oz skim milk, 1 oz sf hazelnut davinci syrop 20 oz water 1pm - 1 ka****LC honey almond flax granola bar 20 oz water 4pm - 1 beef stick, 1/3 cup garlic and chive cheese curds 20 oz water 7pm - 3/4 cup mini beef filled raviolis in meat sauce working on an 8 oz cup of antioxidant rich sweet and spicey tea....figured it might be a good thing for someone who has a staph infection.   I am nervous about this people!  I've spent too much time on webmd last night and today looking up crap about staph infections and from what I learned most cases aren't fatal, and a lot of people have staph in their noses, but when it gets in surgical wounds (HELLO!) it can get bad in a hurry.  Gah.  It couldn't just be easy!  NO Not for me.  Never.  GAH!  I wi**** were Monday already so I could be seen already by my surgeon to get this over with, not that Monday will be the end of it.  I just want it all to be over with! Technically my surgeon doesn't know I'm coming on Monday.  He got a hold of me at like 4:45 on Friday and at first we set an appointment for this Wednesday, but that's not soon enough for me.  I don't care how non-aggressive it is or appears to be.  I am going to be aggressive about treating it and waiting unitl Wednesday is not good enough.  But by the time I decided that it was too late to get in touch with him, so I'm just showing up Monday morning (I'll call first thing and let them know I'm coming) and I'm going to hope he or one of the other surgery clinic docs who knows what they are dealing with can work me in.  He's always been able to work me in before, so it should be okay, but I am afraid he won't be able to work me in and then it is all going to go to hell.  Let's just hope that doesn't happen.  So how are things out there!

1. stop going on webmd and freaking yourself out! 2. BE AGRESSIVE, its your life and if you are worried then be agressive ( i could totally do that cheerleading chant but i wont hehe) show up and make them see you, you have every right to make sure that this is not going to get out of control and to make sure that you are getting worse then they thougt.  Good luck with everything

ps. i cant make myself look at the pics of prudence. i am too scared. hehe

I agree. Being informed is important but stop looking at WebMd. Don't take no for an answer on Monday. You know your body so be as persistant as you need to be to get through to him. Think positive. Good luck.

Yep, just show up, it's your health!  Staph is nothing to mess around with! Food: B - Chocolate protein shake made w/ 1/2 c lowfat milk and 1/2 cup Fage, with black cherry syrup (34g) S - 1 slice bologna (ugh, I didn't even like it.  Now I know) (3g) L - Mexican pizza (low carb tortilla, taco beef, sour cream, mexican cheese) (14.5g) S - 1 oz Monterrey Jack (6g) D - Ham, cheese, egg omlette  (11.5g) 69g protein.  32 oz liquids thus far, trying to get in another 20 before bed. Exercise: Shopping??  lol  Trust me, it's back to the grind Monday when I get to the gym. Vitamins: 1/2 done, 1/2 waiting.  I am TERRIBLE at this part, I always miss one dose or the other.  I even wrote it on my hand!

breakfast- sbl cinnamon raisin bar lunch- 2 oz grilled chicken 1/4 cup cottage cheese snack- 1 oz spicy peanuts dinner- 2 oz grilled chicken 1/4 cup cottage cheese snack- protein shake
