How long were you under?

Hey ... I was just wondering how long your surgery took? I thought surgery lasted about 2 hours if you were having the gastric bypass.. and I'm sure that the lapband procedure is quicker.. Does the surgery really take like 2 hours?

I just had my surgery last Monday, and my surgery lasted 45mins. Not sure how long it was before I was out of recovery.

Hmm...Mine was a little less than 3 hours I believe but I had open RNY and my doc spent an extra 20 minutes using a plastic surgery closure instead of staples. I think including my time in recovery it was like 4.5 hours.

My surgery was just under 45 mins... my damn gall bladder took longer than the WLS! :-)

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

My actual surgery was about 1 1/2 hours, but I feel like it took me a really long time to wake up. My surgery started at about 11AM and then when it was finished I moved to the recovery area. That was such a blur. Then by the time they moved me to my room it was dark out, so that had to be several hours later.
