Don't be sorry sweetie!  You're entitled to a sick day once in a while!  I know you hate to miss school but if you don't take care of yourself you're gonna be missing a lot more than just a day.  (hugs)  Take the day off tomorrow if you need to and DON'T feel guilty for TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF.

Hey I still only hit 50 oz today and I'm 4 weeks out!  You're doing great!  It WILL get better, promise. Just the Cheese is a baked cheese snack that has very low carbs and 5g of protein in a little bag (perfect size for wls).  It's like they took cheese, put it on a baking sheet, baked it til crispy, and flavored it (mine was cool ranch but there are other flavors).  They are not sold in my local area so I ordered through amazon.  36 packages for just 23 bucks, great deal.  AND if you do auto shipping they ship for free.  They get a little blah toward the end of the package but it's something to CRUNCH on and good if you don't want carbs. Hmmm, purees...my fave was refried beans with cheese and sour cream.  I am not a huge fan of pudding anymore and I cannot stand the sight of Jello.  I took some clam chowder soup and ran it through the blender.  Cottage cheese was allowed on my pureed stage so I have that a lot.  I also made hummus (and I have it with whole wheat Townhouse crackers every so often (not every day).  Good source of fiber).  You could do some cream cheese with smoked salmon or the tiny shrimp in a can (near the tuna) with some cajun seasoning and whiz it together in the blender if you like seafood dip.  I had plain yogurt with salt, pepper and garlic powder.  My puree stage was only a week so this got me through 'til I could have the good stuff =) EDIT:  Oh, and NSA Fudgesicles!  Yum

Thanks for the tips!  I was reading a bunch of recipes about making a whole meal and putting it in the blender... GROSS!!  I'm not much on pureed foods!  I will more than likely eat a lot of beans.  I dont do cottage cheese :(  now I realize what you guys were saying about taste buds changing and sense of smell heightening.  I can't smell or watch other people eat.  I used to LOVE orange popsicles and strawberry jello.  I CANT STAND them now!

I did pretty good today food wise. I'm just now starting to try not to drink with my meals. It's been pretty easy except for breakfast. I keep forgetting that I drink 4 oz. of orange juice with my breakfast. It's hard when you have routines.  Breakfast- one large but thin whole wheat pancake, 2 slices of bacon, 1 tbsp. butter, 1/4 cup lite maple syrup and 4 oz. orange juice Mid-morning snack-chocolate chip pure protein bar (20 g) Lunch- mom brought home leftovers from Mi Cocina so I took them for lunch. 1 cup of sunset fajitas (chicken and beef) with rice and a few chips and salsa Dinner-homemade chili with 2 tbsp. cheese and 2 tbsp. sour cream with 12 crackers and 2 corn muffins Consumed 85 oz. of water for the day.

You're doing great Emily!  My problem was always I never drank ENOUGH throughout the day so now I have even LESS desire to drink.  So I'm working on getting in all my liquids even though I never have in the past.  You're right, it's hard to break routines!  Wait until the waitress looks at you like you're crazy when you don't order a drink.

Thank you so much Jennifer! But I'm the one who needs to congratulate you. You are doing Spectacular! I figure if I can get myself to drink at least 85 oz. of water a day that maybe after surgery getting myself to drink 64 oz. won't be that hard. We'll see though. It's funny that you say that about the waitress because the other night at the mexican restaurant it wasn't the waitress who kept hounding me about not having a drink...it was my MOM!  She kept saying are you sure you don't want just one margarita or maybe just one glass of water just in case?  I was like no really i'm fine! Gotta love Moms...they sure are persistent!
