Thats me on the left end in the blue hoodie. i actually look like i'm part of the group and my thigh looks so much smaller then i used to be!! and now double chin. im so psyched haha... but anyways, i've started to have cravings that i havent had for the past two months, for stuff like CARBS and sweets. ughh i knew it would happen, but how do you guys deal with it so well? haha i read the daily menu posts and you guys are so goood, and so far, i've been so good a resisting temptation as well. but im dying for a bite of a bagel hahaha... keep me strong 20somethings!!

You look great! Keep it up!
As for carbs, I'm of little help because I'm barely 1 month out. However, I do know if you have something carby you tend to crave them MORE. Like, if you had a few crackers with lunch you may find yourself craving them more. Not to say you should cut them out all together, just make smarted choices. You want crackers? Make sure they're whole wheat and portion them out so you don't go through the whole sleeve before you realize they're gone. Whole grains make you feel fuller longer. I just got some carb balance whole wheat tortillas to use as mini pizza bases. Do you like veggies (are you allowed to have them yet? I'm not)? You may be able to substitute baby carrots or pepper slices for a "crunch" if that's all you're looking for. Soy crisps (like rice cakes) are a decent choice since they do contain protein too and have lots of different flavors. Hope that helps a little
If ur craving carbs....go for the fatt free bagel....its got 10g of protein in it as well!! i mean ur only going to be able to eat a half of it...IF THAT so throw a slice of cheese or peanut butter on it....thats what my dr told me. actually...my dr told me that i need to be eating carbs to not rule them out. so i actually eat bread an the whole nine yards....ur only two months out, but u will see by 6months ur virtually eating everything. i think i actually ate a pizza at 2months out....chewed it to the point it wus moosh...but piza none the less!! haha.
i know this isnt prolly the BEST thing to say...but no matter what u eat ur going to lose the weight....b/c u can NOT fit as much as u used to into ur system....so even if u ate like **** all day ur going to notice a differnce. so stay positive and give into ur cravings every now an then...it isnt going to kill u

Are you not allowed carbs? I, thankfully, was allowed carbs and learned how to fit them into my daily eating in a healthy way. At 2 months out your focus shouldnt mainly be protein but I see nothing wrong with 1 serving of bread carbs a day - the rest of your carbs should come from fruits, veggies and dairy. Bagels are very heavy... I would say 1 to 2 bites and you would be more than full off it.
Carbs DO NOT make you want more carbs -.... however - processed, enriched, bleached foods DO make you want more - if its white, it aint right. Those type of carbs will not keep you full long and will make you want more soon.
Your body NEEDS carbs to survive - especially your brain and muscles... there is nothing wrong with a bagel - just make sure its whole grain. You want to read the labels of products to make sure - many things say 'heart healthy whole wheat' and are made from enriched wheats... so its junk in disguise.
As for sweets - its getting close to spring and lots of yummy fruits are in season - strawberries, watermelon...I like to take dannon light n fit vanilla yogurt, sprinkle a little cinnamon on it and use it as a fruit dip for fresh fruits - its super yummy. There are also a ton of recipies using SF jellos and pudding with cool whip and fresh fruit, or canned pumpkin etc... SF popscicles are always a life saver as well!

you look amazing!!! sometimes pictures are the way to see your progress!
As for carbs and sweets, i had a hard time around all the holidays with candy!! Especially EASTER candy! i deal with my chocolate cravings by my calcium chews. And I'm 7 months out so I have a cracker or pretzels for the salty carbs I want. When I eat them though, i can't eat that much and i'm satisfied much faster than i used to be!!! I always keep my weight loss and success in mind when I'm about to eat some pizza crust!!! AND i keep a picture of me preop and how i look now around to remind me of how far i've come. You can do it!!! you're doing awesome!!
