A little trick....

I asked a question on the main lap-band page about alcohol and getting drunk faster post op. Someone on there sent me a totally awesome, and non relevant trick. He said if you put a green olive in your beer it will absorb the carbonation and make the beer drinkable post up. I havent tried it yet but if anyone should happen to try it let me know how it goes :-)

Wow - that is interesting. I've never heard of that. Unforch, it is the fillingness of beer that gets to me more than the carbonation. I normally feel completely stuffed after one or two beers depending on the brand.

I don't know if its the same for RNY as for lap bad... but post-op bandsters are not allowed to have carbonated beverages... so the olive trick was a way to get around that
