Howdy 20 somethings! This morning I woke up to discover a lump the size of an egg right above my inscision from last Friday's surgery.  It really hurts and is bruised...grrr...after a call to my surgeon he thinks it might be a hernia or a build up of fluid.  Hopefully it is fluid build up because if it is a hernia that will be more surgery and I'm just not interested in that.  We'll find out next week when I go for an appointment.  Cross your fingers that it is fluid!  Because if it is it'll just be a matter of using a syringe to let out the fluid - but if it is a hernia that'll mean more surgery and that operation would make FOUR for me since August.  NOT COOL.  So wish me luck.   FOOOOOOOD 7am - 4 oz espresso, 6 oz steamed milk, 1 oz sf hazelnut davinci syrup 20 oz water 10am - 1 banana (I had really bad leg cramps yesterday, and that is indicitive of low potassium, and bananas have potassium...) 20 oz water 1pm - 5 oz chicken lo mein (mostly chicken and the other veggies in lo mein, and then some noodles) 10 oz water 3pm - 1 ka****LC honey almond flax granola bar 10 oz water 6 oz orange juice and 4 oz magnesium citrate 6pm - 3 oz leftover chicken fajita stuff (sauteed chicken, peppers and onion) rolled up in 2 large lettuce leaves with 1 diced cherry tomato, cheddar cheese, a dollop of sour cream and a little salsa 10 oz water 8:30pm - 2 oz peanuts, 1 oz almonds, 1 oz peanut M&M's How's it going out there tonight?

Fingers crossed! What a thoroughly god-awful, weird freaking day... B - shared a ham and cheese omlette with my son.  No idea how much I ended up with and how much he got. S - 8oz light chocolate soy milk L - well, I didn't get to have lunch because an appointment dh and I had was delayed by an hour.  By the time we got out, lunch was waaaay past S (or late L) - was at the mall and could not find ANYTHING suitable.  Settled on a cheeseburger (no bun).  Got into argument with cashier who overcharged 1.00 and insisted I was wrong.  Did not feel like eating but knew I needed to.  Tried to eat.  Had maybe 1/2 oz of the burger?  Did not feel good going down.  I know, too early for fast food beef but there was nothing else. D - about 3 oz of refried beans, out at dinner with friends/co-workers.  Felt oddly like an outsider because I've been out of the loop for the 3 weeks I was on leave and just couldn't relate to them tonight.  Couldn't drink, looked like a fool eating refried beans and not touching my water.  Had bad headache from crappy eating and tube was killing me so I begged off and came home. *sigh* Took liquid tylenol which acted fast but left my pouch feeling weird.  I feel like I need to sleep but it's too early for me to turn in.  I feel so weird right now between my body and my experience with my friends tonight.  I can't define it but I know it all makes me very uncomfortable.  Thanks for listening.

I'm sorry Jennifer.  That is a rotten day.  The food thing will get easier with time and eventually I think for most of us (myself at least) it starts to feel more normal to eat what we need to eat and to heck with how it looks (which eventually looks pretty normal...if a bit smaller than what most people eat).  I hope you start feeling better and tomorrow goes well for you.

I didn't eat too much today, but I found these great protein bars....South Beach Diet crispy protein bars...they were on sale for $1 each when they usually go for $2.39...so I bought 3 and they are wonderful!!!!  The Carmel Peanut Butter is amazing and the Cinnamon one is awesome too.  They have 19 grams of protein in each bar and are low sugar but have quite a few carbs. B- South Beach protein bar L- South Beach protein bar (yeah, I was broke and hadn't been to the grocery...haha luckily I got paid yesterday so I can go grocery shopping!) D- I had A DATE last night...it was soo fun and we ate at Chevys...he knows all about my surgery and is so sweet and supportive...I had 1 cheese and onion enchilada and a side of refried beans, 2 margaritas (baaaad, but oh sooo good!) Have a great weekend everyone!!!   I'm going out to a concert tonight...a fun band called Scissors for Lefty...and we are going to a Tiki bar before...should be fuuuun!!!  THEN...Sunday I am seeing the comedian Gabriel Inglesias from Last Comic Standing.  WAHOO for fun-filled weekends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
