New here....
I am new here, starting this journey. I recently switched family dr's and saw her today! She was super super supportive and is getting the wheels moving on the surgery.
I am 28 years old, married with a 3 year old dd. I am 5'3" and weigh 255lbs!
So now what happens? She told me I would get a packet in the mail and then start my 6 month supervised "diet"

Read my blogs on my profile page. I am in the last month of my 6 month diet and it literally feels like it was yesterday when I started. I honestly thought this time would never come though. Welcome to the 20's board Jessica! What happens next really varries from surgeon to surgeon, but it looks to me like you've got 6 months of diet to worry about first. Your surgeon may or may not require nutritional classes. My suggestion is to call your insurance company and ask for a specific list of what things they require before they will agree to cover your weight loss surgery. That way you can use the 6 months of diet time to get the other stuff taken care of as well. Good luck!
