Bandsters----- No more fills... Can I do it on my own???
Unfortunately I am not able get anymore fills. I am at 10cc's in my 10cc band. My last fill was 10/31/o7 I feel like it hardly had any effect I asked my doctor at the time of the fill what happens the next time I feel like I need a fill what do I do since my band is full. He said that I would just have to rely on exercise and diet. This has made be quite disappointed because I got the lap-band surgery so I would have a life time tool and it seems that I was maxed out at just 6 months, after surgery. I try to practice good eating habits all the time which is important with or with out restriction, but I am only human and sometimes get off track. I just don't know what to do now that I feel like I could really use another fill. I know that it is all on me now to loose the remainder of this weight. Your thoughts feelings and advice are welcome :)

I think your old Dr. Doesn't know what he's talking about...the tubing of the band in and of itself holds about 2.5cc's so you only have about 7.5cc's in your band.. Once you get up to 12.5cc's then that might be a problem..but I just heard of someone having 13cc's in their band!! Go and Get a fill...and ask your New Doctor about how much the Tubing holds!! If worse comes to worse then you might have to either get a smaller band put in or get a Revision...if I had to get a Revision I would get the VSG.. they say that it's like the band but without the nonsense of getting fills and such!! Good Luck... I am also going to PM this to you since I don't know if you'll be checking it!!
