Eatin' Good in the 20's Neighborhood - Sunday
Howdy 20-somethings!
I am still feeling kind of icky when it comes to eating and still pretty sore, but that is all as expected, oh and I've got 4 pounds of IV fluid to get rid of (looks like I need to watch my salt for the next couple of days). But I'm planning on getting back to school tomorrow, though if I'm not ready I won't go. Anywho - FOOD TIME
10:30am - 8 oz decaff coffee w/ 2 oz steamed skim milk
10 oz water
1:30pm - 1/2 a golden delicious apple...felt like lead in my pouch
20 oz water
4pm - 4 oz cottage cheese w/ 4 saltine crackers
20 oz water
6pm - 2 fries from DH's meal, 1 grilled chicken tender (not breaded or anything) and a slice of tomato
I'm sipping some sweet and spicy tea and thinking about just going to bed soon. I'm just not feeling the greatest and I'm thinking sleep might be the best thing for me at this point. Hope it is going better out there!

Awww! I hope you feel better after some sleep.
I decided to be adventurous today and make crab stuffed mushrooms. Pretty good but I used the cheap canned crab and you can't see the shells so it was a little gritty (ew). I also made super uber proteiny pudding. Man I hope I get cleared for eggs at my appt tomorrow! I'm jonesin for some cheesy eggs with mushrooms! (and soon, ham!)
12p - 1 crab/ricotta/parmesan stuffed mushroom (3g protein)
3p - 2oz protin pudding (made with s/f chocolate pudding, milk, chocolate protein powder, and RedFat cream cheese) (3g)
7p - 1oz refried beans, 1 oz cheese, 1 oz sour cream (6g)
9p - Plan to have 4 oz cottage cheese (11g)
12a - plan to have 2oz pudding (3g)
Fluids - 20oz Crystal Lite, working on another 24 right now
crab and mushrooms are allowed before scrambled eggs? Makes no sense!
FYI - it helps to juuust barely undercook them. You don't want them totally dry. They should be just barely moist and it really helps with getting everything down nicely.
I personally thought that scrambled eggs sat lighter in my tummy than refried beans!
Hmmm, I may have forgotten to mention that I wasn't exactly "cleared" for the crab and mushroom but the crab is shredded to smithereens and I chewed the mushroom to liquid. Heh. To be honest, I'm scared of eggs because a coworker who had surgery got a bit of egg stuck at this stage and she was sick for days. But I think she had scrambled eggs. I plan to poach mine. Nice and soft!
Hmmm...well if it helps any, I just barely undercooked my scrambled eggs and I did not have any big chunks at all...I guess I scrambled the crap out of them. Then, my bites were pretty much the size of a pea. When I got the pea-sized bite in my mouth, I mushed it between the roof of my mouth and my tongue until it was pretty much liquid and then I swallowed. It took forever to eat, but it tasted pretty good, and it was sort of a comfort food. I also added a dab of ketchup (sounds weird, but it was a childhood favorite of mine...which also made it comforting), and the ketchup added some liquidity to it.
I thought fried eggs and hard boiled eggs sat heavier.
