Eatin' Good In The 20's Neighborhood - Saucy Saturday
Hi everybody! How are you eating today? I was not so great but I started with good intentions!
B - 8oz protein shake (chocolate powder, chocolate soymilk, white chocolate syrup, coffee syrup, ice)
L - I made too much of the shake from the morning and finished the remaining 8 oz
S - 2oz refried beans, 1 oz cheese, 1 oz sour cream (ugh a bit too much food. Very full)
D - Will probably be 3 oz cottage cheese
S - Will be a fudgesicle
Liquids - 10 oz Crystal Lite, the 16oz protein shake, 10 oz Crystal Lite, and will have another 24 oz of water or liquids before I go to bed tonight.
Activity - 3 hours shopping counts, right? I was carrying bags and walking! Until my lower back started hurting. I can't wait to go back to the gym I feel so weak.
Vitamins - check!
Sounds good to me - except for the "very full" thing, but that is a lesson you have to learn eventually. You'll get it right.
I've been picking at things today. I'm getting the anethesia out of my system, so until that happens I always feel a bit icky.
10am - 6 bites of leftover chicken fajita from yesterday (I toasted it in the oven to heat it up so the tortilla was nice and crispy and the cheese bubbly) but it just didn't sit well.

1pm - 1 ka****LC honey almond flax granola bar

5:30 - went to "Missions Conference" at church, which always starts with a meal from the featured continent - which tonight was Asia - 2 wanton "chips" with seafood salad on them, 1 "spicy chicken roll up" which was a concoction of ground chicken, spices, green onions and celery, rolled up in a lettuce leaf, "cold peanut salad" which was really cold rice, mixed with red and green onions, celery, roasted red peppers, peanuts, dried cranberries and green beans (I had 2 small bites and that was enough for me) and finally "Rice noodels with Chinese beef" - actually boiled beef cubes, cooked carrot slices, onions, celery, peppers and rice noodles - I had 2 more bites of this and then I was done. Strange meal.
And some "Sweet and Spicy Tea" with a drizzle of honey - this was the best thing about the meal.
And now that I'm home I'm munching on 1/2 cup of peanuts. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

They always are. One year we did Mexico and they even managed to mess that up! I mean come on, it is Mexico, slap out some good old Tex Mex tacos or quesadillas or something, but no, it has to be complicated and gross so everyone stops at McDy's when it is all over. The chicken roll up things were actually pretty good, but everything else...yeah...not so much.
This place gets slow on the weekends, but hey, we're here and that is good enough.

I'm a bit late but still want to be accountable for my Saturday!
B - 3/4 inside of a dunkin donuts sausage, egg and cheese sandwich (only ate less than 1/4 of the english muffin)
L - taco - ground beef/turkey (half and half), lettuce, tomato, reduced fat cheese, light sour cream, salsa, low carb tortilla
S - 4 triscuits and a wee brie
2nd S (long time between L and D) - reese's peanut butter egg!
D - trader joe's chicken gorgonzola (not nearly as good as I had hoped)
I blogged about this this morning, but I have been having serious candy cravings lately!! I definitely need to keep that in check. I'm not one to completely deny myself anything, but I need to enforce moderation. I don't need candy every day!
