I'm pooped and starting to feel like I actually had surgery this morning...
11am - 10 oz orange juice and 4 saltine crackers in the recovery room, so I could get my IV removed and take my first oxicodone.
I was released at 1pm to my grandparents' care on a "regular bariatric diet".
1:30pm - about 4 bites of a chicken fajita burrito, 1 bite of refried beans, 2 bites of a honey sopapia from a really good authentic Mexican restaurant
40 oz water, 8 oz decaff coffee w/ 4 oz steamed skim milk and 1 oz sf hazelnut davinci syrup
7pm - M y family (grandparents, sister, nephew, mom and I) all went out to try a new Chinese restaurant. So I ate 2 cream cheese wantons, 2 pieces of broccoli and I would estimate 2 oz chicken and 3-4 noodles.
Amy 293/140 - AT GOAL!
I skipped breakfast at the house and just grabbed a slim fast on the way out. It was one of the low-carb ones. It was delicious. I drink them so fast.
About mid-morning I had a leftover breakfast burrito (potato, egg and cheese) and a cookie from our previous day's town hall meeting.
I went on my lunch break to the Mac counter at Nordstrom's to go crazy and buy a ton of makeup since I got a bonus today. I told the girl I was going to a nice restaurant tonight for my mom's birthday dinner and she offered to do my eyes for me. I wish I had taken a close up picture. They were BEAUTIFUL! She even put some false eyelashes on me for a fuller effect. Because I took so long getting makeup I didn't really have time to eat lunch so I nibbled on another chocolate chip pecan cookie.
We went to Stephan Pyle's new restaurant here in Downtown Dallas and it was out of this world. First, they brought out a little spoon filled with mashed garbanzo beans, feta cheese, parsley and jalapenos compliments of the chef. Then we split 3 appetizers: fried green tomatoes with fresh mozzerella, banana empanadas and calamari. Then we had a salad. I chose the Caesar salad. It was unique to say the least. Then came my entree. The Bone-In Cowboy Ribeye piled high (and i'm speaking the truth here) with friend onion strings. Bryan helped me eat some of the onion strings but I took maybe 3 bites of the steak and I was FULL! Bryan is a fiend for Dessert so we ordered 3 for the table: the heaven and hell cake which you can see in the 3rd picture, the coffee and donuts (which was 3 donuts and creme brulee) and a rasberry sorbet. It was a magical evening. For once I had a date to our family outing. I've known Bryan since high school but we just reconnected a couple of years ago through Myspace of all places. He is such a gentlemen. Mom loves him because he is Jewish. He's stuck around through my thin and now heaviest times and even when I didn't want to be around him. I just know there is a reason he is in my life. Here are a few pictures from last night.
Me & Bryan
Me & Bryan (I look like I have a hump-back)
Me & Bryan once again (I hate it when my dad takes candid shots) Here you can see the heaven & hell cake. It was definitely heavenly and sinful at the same time!
