i had surgery on monday and now i have a cold...lol...well i have been sneezing since yesterday and now i have a side pain like if you eat and then go swimming or work out...my doc says its pobably a hematoma..like i know what that is..and where the wound is he said i might be bleeding there from the stress of sneezing...anyone else ever experience this

I didn't have that EXACT same problem, but I did develop a cough three days after my surgery and it hurt so bad i had to shove a pillow in my stomach and try to hold my cough. oh my go**** hurt so bad. my doc told me it was probably a pulled muscle from those sudden movements from coughing. but i would be very careful regardless, and get it checked out! hope this helps!

As always, I think it's always better to be safe than sorry and consult you're doctor if you're in pain. It sounds like you're doing that.
My understanding is that a hematoma is just a collection of blood beneath the skin. If you had a bruise on your knee, that would be a hematoma.
I didn't have constant pain, but can say that in the weeks following my surgery it did hurt to sneeze and cough, especially on my left side around the largest incision.
For your cold, you can take tylenol cold products (the liquid kind would probably be wise) and maybe that will help clear things up or at least mask the side effects for a while. If you have to sneeze I would suggest holding a pillow against your stomach when you do (that is what my surgeon told me to do as I had to cough or sneeze) hopefully that'll help. I hope you are feeling better soon!
