Okay, with the exception of a really crappy phone conversation yesterday, this has been MY WEEK.  Honestly - things have been awesome *knock on wood* and as soon as I get my butt back to yoga EVERYDAY like I should be doing, I couldn't ask for more .  FOOD! 7:30 - 4 oz espresso, 6 oz skim milk, 1 oz sf davinci vanilla syrup, 1 dollup cool whip and less than a teaspoon of grated dark chocolate just to make it pretty before I slapped the lid on my coffee tumbler... 10 oz water 10am - 1 Ka****LC honey almond flax granola bar 10 oz water 1pm - Beef and Broccoli (about 4 oz) with light sauce 20 oz water 3:30pm - 1 American Deluxe Mousse truffle....oooooooooh so good, I took 10 minutes to eat it and it was about the size of a golf ball - rich and yummy for sure 4pm - 3/4 cup of home made chicken and rice soup Planning on a breakfast burrito made with leftover chicken fajita omlette from yesterday...will be very yummy I'm sure - and at least 20-30 more oz of water. How's it going out there?

Mmmm, truffles!  Hey, I stocked up on Dark chocolate/cherry Kashi bars because they were on sale.  I saw you ate Kashi nearly every day and thought they sounded yummy.  Have you ever had a problem with Kashi like you did the Nature Valley? I also got my DaVinci syrups today so can't wait to use those. Last question, I saw you made chicken and rice soup.  Does rice normally give you a problem if it's not soupy? Thanks!  As for me, I had the same as yesterday!

I looooove Kashi!  They are the best granola bar out there.  I haven't tried the dark chocolate/cherry kind (I'm just not much of a cherry person) but the other bars I've tried have never given me any trouble.  They have excellent fiber content, protien and the sweetner they use is something like evaporated cane juice or something like that - natural, not refined, sweetner as nature intended.  Love Kashi! The Davinci sugar free syrups taste like the real mccoy to me.  I hope you like them when you are able! Here is how I make the chicken and rice soup.... -put a whole chicken in my crock pot (with about a cup of water and seasoned with lawry's seasoned salt) and cook it like 12 hours -de-bone the chicken, keeping the stock from the crock pot -to the stock, add 2-4 cups of water (depending on how thin you want to broth) and simmer on medium on the stove top -add diced carrots, celery and onion to the stock, and I like to add a couple bullion cubes to make it more flavorful -cook 1/2 a cup of dry rice as directed by the package, adding more than normal water (I cook all my rice with more than the recomended amount of water so the rice fully expands before it ever hits my pouch) -when the rice is cooked, add it to the pot with the stock and let it simmer -add 2 cups of the chicken (more if you like thicker soup), broken into small pieces, to the stock -let the whole thing simmer until the veggies are tender and season to taste I like it a little thicker and it has never given me any trouble.  I often have trouble with chicken, but for some reason cooking it in the slow cooker ensures it is moist enough that it won't bother me.  I guess the fat content of home made chicken broth could be an issue, especially early out, to making it a little soupier makes sense to me.  Anyway, that was a long explanation to say - no it doesn't bug me if it's not soupy  but I can see how it might be a problem for other people.
