OT: I love my husband!
He is currently making me our "Valentine's Day" dinner. He has to work on Valentine's Day so he made today our Valentine's Day. So I had a really crappy morning, with the we-will-not-talk-about-it-now-since-we-are-supposed-to-be-happy-but-it-is-still-stupid phone call, but life has gotten 100% better since then.
First he sent me on a scavenger hunt in this cute little tourist town that has a main street lined with chocolatiers - and at each place I got a different gourmet truffle. This is really thoughtful of him since he knows that I don't waste my calories/carbs/dumping on chocolate unless it is high quality. And since they are little truffles, I can indulge in one a day for the next week or so and not dump. All my favorites - almond, hazelnut, dulce de leche, macadamia, espresso - So thoughtful!
Also on my scavenger hunt I found other things he left for me - a card, a stuffed Pomeranian (named "Delilah" - my beloved puppy Delilah died in December and I am still heartbroken), a Becoming Jane DVD and gourmet coffee (ordered it special and everything!) and now he is slaving over a hot stove on dinner of mini entrees. Not sure what they are yet, but he did tell me they were mini's and I did see strawberries and wine when I snuck in the kitchen to get some water. I am not worthy. Everything is so well thought out to really think of what I like and what is important to me, so Kyle is the bestest DH ever. Yay Kyle

Tell your hubby to talk to my fiance PLEEEAAAASSSEEE! Mine has no idea on how to make up anything romantic and surprising.. We spent our last big anniversary at a bar with his friends..........
and I am pretty sure Valentine's day will consist of nothing.... Oh well lol.
You are lucky you have got such a sweetie!
LOL It has taken 7 years to get to this point and this is the FIRST EVER Valentine's Day Kyle has been in charge of. I think boys are somewhat clueless (sorry Mike, Brock, Aaron...other guys - but you know I'm right) when it comes to romantic. I'd bet your fiance thinks that your big anniversary at a bar was a blast - and maybe it was - but not what you'd expect/hope for a romantic evening out. I basically told Kyle that it doesn't matter what he decides to do as long as he plans it while really thinking about me and us - our Valentine's Day was the ultimate "you mean something to me and I care about you" day.
Help your fiance out. Maybe he needs a not so subtle hint of what would really knock your socks off. I hope you guys have an excellent Valentine's Day and I'll pass the compliments on to Kyle. Thanks!
