Eatin good in the 20's Neighborhood - Sunday...
Howdy 20 somethings! The Food Network is trying to kill me - or at least tempt me into dumping. For the past 2 days they have had a "Chocolate" marathon...there is no emoticon to express the drooling and wordless groaning that has elicited from me. They has this show about a festival in San Francisco (I think it was the Godiva chocolate festival...) where they have hundreds of free samples. Cake. Ice cream. Pudding. Candies. Truffles. Cookies. uuuuhhhhhhh. I don't know why I torture myself....but anyway...food...
9:30 - 4 oz espresso, 6 oz skim milk, 1 oz sf davinci vanilla syrup, a dollup of cool whip
20 oz water
11 - Ka****LC honey almond flax granola bar
20 oz water
4pm - 4 oz chicken rolled up in 2 large lettuce leaves, 2 diced tomato slices, a ring of red onion diced, shredded colby jack cheese, 1 strip of bacon crumbled up, 1 drizzle of ranch dressing - YUM.
10 oz water
5-6pm - 2 oz peanut M&M's and 2 oz peanuts - So I gave in, sue me.
10 oz water
And I'm thinking some more nuts before bed. But we'll leave off the chocolate part. How'd it go out there? I hope no one else was drawn in by the Pudge Porn network!
Amy 293/140 - AT GOAL!
Dear sweet Amy...I've been watching FN since I got to my room in the hospital. I don't know why. At first I wasn't hungry but now at the end of day 5, I AM hungry. I'm sure people will say it's head hunger but it's not. My old stomach is eating itself. My DH made pizza tonight and the smell is lingering. And all the commercials are from fast food restaurants. I may very well die tonight.
Food:
2oz yogurt & 1 oz water 3x's per day thru the tube
3oz Gatorade for the other 5 tube feedings
1 s/f popsicle.
It gets better, right?? I'm ready to cry

Amy 293/140 - AT GOAL!
OK, I'm going to post now because I want to avoid eating again today...this way I will be less likely to. It was a chamber of commerce day here in AZ today, clear with a high of 78 degrees. I got some gardening done, bought a fountain for my courtyard and played with the kids and their bikes and scooters in front of the house for like two hours while I did some neighboring with the folks from across the street - so it was a busy day which helped me avoid boredom grazing...
9 AM - big coffee with a bunch of coffemate rf creamer
10 AM- Weigh****chers Pot Roast with Broccoli - only 180 calories!
12 PM - about 4 ounces of turkey and ham with a string cheese
3 PM - Jack In The Box - Chicken Fajita Pita without the salsa - 320 calories
6 PM - 4 oz of rottiseri chicken breast, 1/2 cup of green beans, and a low-sugar 100 cal ice cream bar
Maybe some more chicken later, maybe not....
I have also been catching various episodes of the chocolate fest on the food network. I love the challenges. Did you see the one where they made the famous monuments out of chocolate? Amazing, and so tempting!!
Jen I am glad you are feeling up to posting and yes, it DOES get much easier! Hang in there!
My day:
B - 2 chicken tenders
L - chicken, goat cheese and spinach roll up in low carb wrap
D - homemade mac and cheese with 75% red fat cheese, small amount of whole wheat pasta and ham
S - might have some cashews before bed - thanks for reminding me I have them Amy!
If you dare decide to read on you will note that I am still pre-op. Believe me it will be painstakingly obvious!!! I had the house to myself today and what did I do? I turn to food.
Breakfast-one bottle of chocolate milk, long chocolate covered bavarian creme filled donut, rasberry filled donut, one long jalapeno cheese dog and an apple fritter. YIKES!!! I was so stuffed the rest of the day.
No lunch...still full!
Around 5:30 I had a skinny cow ice cream sandwich.
Dinner around 8:30-We should have eaten around 7 but I forgot our microwave is busted and I had to cook the sweet potato just in the oven. Filet mignon (4 oz.), 1/2 sweet potato and one can of sliced carrots with butter and cinnamon sugar.
The only thing I did good today was consume 100 oz. of water.
A light day for me... B-Protein Shake L-2 oz roast beef w/ 1/4 cup carrots and 1/2 cup potato w/ sour cream and butter a few bites of salad...so good! S/D-10 pepperoni "chips" (just baked pepperoni slices till they are nice and crispy) 2 slices provolone cheese w/ 4 whole wheat crackers S-1/4 cup cottage cheese w/3 whole wheat crackers
