Protein Shake Questions!!!!!

My surgeon wants me getting in 80-100 grams of protein a day, I am usually having trouble with this number, I am also still having some pretty decent hair loss as of late.  I am drinking protein shakes but at almost 5 months out mixing chocolate flavored 100% Whey protein powder with water is getting a tad boring. What do you do with your protein powder?  How do you mix it.  Please give your favorite recipes for proteins shakes.  Please include how many grams of protein is in your shake, and what type of protein powder you use brand and flavor.  What you mix it with, juice, coffee whatever!  (I personally am not allowed anything with caffeine but I am sure it might be useful to others) Thanks to everyone that has great protein shake recipes!!!

My protein shakes were pretty plain - at 3 months out I was to start to cut them out and be completely off them by 5 months so I never bothered getting to creative. I used a vanilla protein powder and always kept my shakes around 30g including the soy milk. There is no set answer to this buy some say you can only absorb so much protein at a time so its best to spread your protein intake over the day - 30g is a good number if you are doing 3 meals since that typically puts you where you need to be.  Basically I mixed with different light soy milks... either vanilla or chocolate. For flavor Id put a little fruit and/or a little natrual pnut butter.  Thats all I got!

I wish I could be free of them but I can not eat enough even with 3 meals and 2 snack to get my 100g of protein in.

Being that you started to cut out the protein shakes at about 3 months, did that prohibit your weight lost?

No because I was focusing on getting my protein from food. About 4 months out I stopped the shakes and switched to protein bars/isopure drinks then slowly weened those out as well. My surgeon likes his patients to be off protein suppliments by the end of 6 months out.
