Eatin' Good in the 20's Neighborhood - SUPER TUESDAY

I'm posting early because as of 6pm (about 45 minutes from now) I am banishing myself from the internet for the rest of the night.  I MUST finish my assignment for my Advanced Writing class that is due tomorrow.  I MUST.  Classes might get called off tomorrow considering we're expecting 6-9 inches of snow tonight (!) - but it isn't going to write itself so I may as well get to it.  I hate snow.  Blech. 8:30am - 4 oz espresso, 6 oz skim milk, 1 oz sf davinci vanilla syrup, a dollup of cool whip 10 oz water 11am - 1 ka****LC honey almond flax granola bar 20 oz water 2pm - 20 red grapes and 1/2 cup of dry kashi go lean cereal (take THAT Oprah!  The line they use over and over on her show is how post-ops can only eat 6 grapes...I ate 20 ) 20 oz water 5pm - 1/2 a cup of almonds and 20 more grapes I plan on having some meat tonight - probably a chicken taco - gotta get my protien up.  Okay, 30 more minutes and I am 100% dedicated to homework...wish me luck!

I figure I'm still fairly far into pre-op but I might as well go ahead and start posting.  At least it will keep me accountable as to what it is I'm eating right now! B- Bad, yes, very bad.  Nothing.  Me and the Nut discussed it... I HAVE to eat BF! 32oz water L- 1/2 garlic/herb wrap ingredients: smk turkey, provolone, lettuce, ff ranch, tomotoes;  1 pickle spear 32oz water D- Will happen when I get off work...  guessing Chicken, of the baked sorts.  Will be at Mom's (She is a post-op!)

I am nearly 18 months post op and I am still learning to eat breakfast!  I am trying though.

You'll notice that most days I just drink some kind of coffee concoction with milk for breakfast.  It is hard for me to eat in the morning too - just getting calories and some kind of protien is what is important.  Just keep working at it and it'll get easier as time goes on.

B-Cheese stick (I agree with it being hard to eat in the am ) 8oz skim milk L-4 peices of Hormel pepperoni, 3 wheat crackers and a cheese stick 16.9oz bottle water S-100 calorie bag of baked cheetohs(I cant help it..these are just good..and easy on the pouch) D-whole wheat grain blueberry muffin(moms homemade with peanut butter and lots of banana...they are the BEST muffins Ive had in my LIFE!!  Totally healthy and very low on carb and cal's..no sugar added!!), 1/4 cup cottage cheese and a few green beans Im having 10oz of milk right now...lol I m loving my milk. I am considering on having a couple peices of pepperoni or another muffin for a later snack while Im reading the 3rd book in the Twilight series "Eclipse"!!!!!

hmm...well, since you're expecting lots of snow....i guess i can send u some of our florida sunshine....cuz i was wearing shorts and flip flops today...lol.  sorry, just had to say it...

B: 4 oz yogurt, 5 grams of protien, 45 cal, 0 fat

S: vitamin water (homemade lol...no shaq involved) & protien shake (41g protien)

L: Tomato florentine soup

D: cottage cheese 9 grams of protien.

  Well...I might just have to go build a Thomas snowman...I'll make sure to include flip flops, shorts and a big Florida orange for a nose.  How'd ya like them apples eh eh? Okay.  I got nuthin'.  You win - and yes, please send sunshine!

B- Protein shake made with 8 oz skim milk.....30 g protein 12 oz water low fat granola bar L -  Low fat cheese quesadilla and refried beans I was bad this p.m.-- no water :-(  I was so busy at work I couldnt even breathe!! D- chicken taco 24 oz water string cheese stick Wow, I never realy listed out my meals before.....it makes me see what I have to change!!

Getting better... Ive been working out over 2 weeks now and the scale has gone up some, as of today it started sliding back down... I am keeping my fingers crossed it wont go back up again and it will continue to go back down. Currently I have 5lbs to go to reach my new goal... or a few inches to reach a size 8! I have been doing excellent with sticking to my workout plan and have been feeling much stronger in my arms and legs! Woo B - TJs english muffin, Egg White patty, 1 slice of turkey bacon sammich S - 10 raw almonds L - 2 pieces of melba toast with tuna fish. My BF made the tuna and it was too dry so immediately it felt like a rock in my stomach... I had to stop eating.  L - take two.... I waited 45 minutes and ate again.... I had a small banana, 4 SF gingersnaps, 1oz of deli turkey, few baby carrots and bites of fresh spinach S - 1/4th cu cottage cheese, few bites of salad that was suppose to be for lunch D - TJs lo carb tortilla with a little LF cheese, yellow rice, shredded mexican chicken, LF sour cream and tomatillo sauce (yummmmo) S - 6 SF cookies and FF milk The cookies give me horrible gas, damn that sugar alcohol... thankfully they are all gone now and I wont be buying them again. I am still working on getting the veggies in... I have just been anti-veggie lately. UGH I just remembered I forgot my edamame today too! *******!

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)
