Well where to start,
I have had a binge eating disorder since grade two. I was in an inpatient program in guelph in may of 2006 and graduated form there that july. I was assede for it just before i had surgery and was passed for a clean bill as far as mental health. Just after my surgery ED ( eating disorder) showed his ugly head but came back as Annerioxia(sp) so here i am with skipping meals and lying about what i eat and stuff and  can't even bring myself to eat. I have been recommeded for inpatient therapy and cannot go to Homewood in Guelph for treatment because of the Gastric bypass. So i am wondering if anybody knows of programs that will have inpatient therapy that would accept someone like me. I know that you can apply for out of country coverage for this sort of thing too.
Thanks Lauren

Just wanted to say sorry you are having a rough time. I personally do not know of any place that I could suggest. I know that they are finding people who did have an ED pre-op are developing them post-op and its now a 'possible side-effect' of having WLS surgery. I would definately post this on a few other boards and hopefully somebody has a place they can suggest.

I just wanted to second what Jennifer said.  That is rough.  I see you are in Canada - there are several very helpful and friendly Canadian post-ops on the Main Board.  I bet if you post this there (maybe say something about "Need Eating Disorder Help in Canada" in the thread title) you'll get more responses from people who will know directly where you can go for help.  In the mean time, I do not completely understand eating disorders, but I hope you can try to take care of yourself and eat what you need to in order to keep your body healthy.  If you starve your body you are in danger of damaging your metabolism, making losing weight and then maintaining a healthy weight very difficult - and that is just the beginning of the serious problems that I'm sure you are aware of.  I hope you are able to find help soon!
