Eatin' Good in the 20's Neighborhood - MONDAY

It is one day closer to the weekend!  Hurray!  Class was all good today for me.  I talked to my Advanced Writing professor and told him I still hadn't decided what I wanted to write my book on and he is a good guy so I get until next Wednesday to write my proposal.  Until then I've got a lot of busy work to do.  I've got to read a couple articles about the concept of "audience"  and then I've got to write some responses to op ed pieces.  It's going to be a lot of fun...really..I mean it....  Anyway, on to food.... 7:30am - 3 oz espresso, 3 oz skim milk, 3 oz carb countdown milk, 1 oz sf davinci vanilla syrup 10 oz water 10am - 1 kashi go lean, TLC honey almond flax granola bar 10 oz water 1pm - 1/3 of a baked potato with 4 oz cheese and ham (so more cheese and ham than potato) 10 oz water 4pm - 3/4 chicken hardshell taco 20 oz water 7pm - 1/2 cup of mixed nuts 20 oz water MUCH better than yesterday.  How about out there?  Did you start the week off right?

awesome day for excercise...woke up walked a mile (with my Mom) then after work went to the gym and rocked some cardio and weights for an hour...hooray for my body...she rocks...LOL 6 am-Protein shake with 1 cup skim milk 730-Kashi waffle w/ s/f syrup L- insides of a calzone with some of the bread S- 100 cal pack of hershey's snacksters D-2/3 of a small chicken breast stuffed w/ broccoli and cheese 2 oz of mozzarella cheese... Not great food wise...will do better tomorrow...

I wasn't hungry today and didn't eat enough.  Bad, bad, bad.  B: 4 strips bacon (10g protein) L: umm...whoops! D: 2.5 oz of steak (~17g protein) Later: cup of higher-protein milk (14g protein) Even later: babybel cheese (5g protein) 45g protein total.  Blah.  Bad.

Today was kind of a bad day I ended up snacking a few times at work. It was real slow today at work I got a little bored. breakfast- SBL cinnamon raisin bar snack- cottage cheese lunch-cottage cheese and pineapple snack- 12 almonds and slice of deli ham snack-tablespoon peanut butter and a slice of cheese dinner- cabbage and pork snack- cottage cheese

B-string cheese s-Orange slices (about 1/4 c worth) L-Pepperoni slice(4) with some Muenster cheese s-banana half and some pb, about 6 cheez-its D-Mixed nuts spread(almonds, walnuts and something else) a raw food spread that is way high in protein and has no bad additives!  Yummy! 1/2 choco-taco protein bar Ive had probably 40oz of water and 12oz of milk...getting better eh?!  The pb and banana was revitalizing!!!  I guess I didnt know how much I freaking love fruit :-)

I was actually good today, for once.  Hey Amy, do you blend your breakfast drink or just mix with a spoon or what?  It sounds sooooo good!  I'm looking for a good blender type thing for mixing single drinks but also pureeing my food down the line.  Was thinking of investing in a Bullet. B - Slimfast (they're almost gone!) L - Slimfast (one left!) S - Saltines D - Lean Cuisine S - s/f Jello pudding Water and Crystal Light 800 cals on the day with 260 burned at the gym.  I am uber hungry though, I may have to eat again

I just mix it together, normally I pour the syrup in first, then the espresso and then the milk.  I have an espresso maker with a "milk frother" so the milk is all velvety smooth...yum When I was blending things there was this relatively cheap single serve blender that I got at Wal-Mart for less than $20.  I didn't use is very often or very long so getting an expensive one didn't seem worth it to me.  I'm a bad example for protien drinks though because I stopped taking them on like my 3rd day post-op.  So do as your surgeon says and don't listen to me because I'm a protien supplement bad a$$

I did pretty well today....ate a lot though, but mostly protein filled goodies!!!!!  (damn those 4 saltine crackers....at least it wasn't 20 like it would have been before surgery!!!)
Breakfast----5 piece chicken nuggets with honey mustard (12g)
Snack-----1 cheese stick (6g)
Another snack-----4 saltines
Lunch------1/2 large Wendy's chili with cheese (17g)
Snack------1/2 cup refried beans (9g)
Dinner #1 at 5pm------5 turkey meatballs with bbq sauce (25g)
Snack at class-----1/2 cup edamame (10g)
Dinner #2 at 8pm----power crunch protein bar (17g)


Total protein....96 grams!!!   :)

Man my stomach has been a mess lately :-( dont know if my body is still adjusting to having my GB removed, or if its stress, or a stomach bug (girl at work was sick!), or a combo of it all! I couldnt bring myself to eat breakfast yesterday and every time I ate I just took a few bites and was done. bleh. Today so far I am feeling ok but havent tried to eat yet! B - nothing S - 8 raw almonds L - 3 pieces melba toast with chicken salad, slice of orange, few blueberries, a blackberry, slice of pineapple, slice of apple S - same as lunch except only 2 pieces of melba toast S - few baked blue corn chips D - kellogs high protein cereal w/strawberries and FF milk. I ate two bowls (heh) 3/4th cu serving each... was good and I was hungry from the little eating I did all day. I wasnt even going to eat dinner because my stomach was again blah but knew if I didnt today I would be starving all day.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)
