Howdy 20 somethings! How did the weekend go for you?  I have to say that weekends are the best for me when it comes to water.  I have had 100 oz of water today and it was close to 90 yesterday.  Makes up for during the week when I don't quite get to 60-70 oz.  Anyway, on to food! 9am - 3 oz espresso, 3 oz skim milk, 3 oz calorie countdown milk, 1 oz sf davinci syrup, 1 dollup of cool whip 20 oz water Noon - 2 oz peanut M&M's 30 oz water 3pm - 3/4 cup chicken and rice soup (that I made from scratch BTW!) 20 oz water 5:30pm - Kashi Go Lean TLC Almond and Honey granola bar 20 oz water 8pm - 9 slices of pepperoni, 2 slices of provalone cheese, 3 cracked wheat crackers 10 oz water and now my modified screw driver - 10 oz orange juice, 2 oz white rum and 6 oz magnesium citrate (don't ask....) How you doin? Edited to add - WOW that is a lot of carbs and not hardly any protien.  Bad Amy!  Bad!  That's it.  Tomorrow less than 80g of carbs and at least 60g of protien or else...not sure what...but it'll be something.

The bad news is, we used out gift card to Olive Garden today.  The (partially) good news is, I filled up on salad.  I did get the trio sampler appetizer with  calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and chicken fingers.  I brought half of it home (yay) and finished it for dinner.  Basically, that's all I've had all day long, with 34 oz of Crystal light.  Oh, I did have unsweet tea with Splenda at Olive Garden. The good news is, I'm experimenting with protein powder now, pre-op.  I got some chocolate caramel which is pretty decent, considering what it is.  I also got strawberry which I haven't tried yet.  I plan to get some coffee powder or something to add to the chocolate or some davinci syrups.  I also want to add a half a banana to the strawberry one. Here's a question for y'all: How do you blend your protein?  I am wanting something I can also use to puree my foods and my bender is just way too bulky.  I was thinking about getting a magic bullet or something.  I just don't need all the attachments and extra cups.  All I want is the blender part, blades, and the one cup to mix in.  60 bucks is awfully steep for a bunch of stuff I don't need. I'm reeeeally low on food in the house right now and don't get paid til Friday.  I can't guarantee I'll be eating healthy this week but I'll do my best!  This week I'm working on getting all 64oz of water/fluids in every day.

somebody gave me a tip about blenders once, I'll admit I haven't tried it but it makes sense; they said to unscrew the pitcher from the blade and screw on a mason jar instead. That way you blend with the jar full. The reason this is helpful is because without all that airspace you will wind up with less air blended in. Sometimes, especially early post-op - a frothy or "airy" protein shake will just cause to much much gas or bloating to be worth it...magic bullet would work great too...but if you already have a blender, you might just want to try the mason jar thing... todays menu - not so good - I have been doing really bad this week, but I have to remind myself that I really don't "need" to lose anymore what's left on me is pretty much just stuff that ain't coming off unless the plastic surgeon cuts it off...so... breakfast - coffee with sf syrup and coffeemate later - some of my kids' leftovers from last night's dinner - about 15 french fries and two corn dog nuggets - yuck - too much grease, made me nauseaus lunch - a plate of pita chips with chipotle cheddar cheese and mango salsa later - two taco bell baja steak gorditas - sounds pretty bad, until I compare it to what I would have downed at a typical drive-thru meal before surgery  dinner - about four ounces of roast beef and some pita chips I need to drink some water still tonight - all I've had is four cups of coffee throughout the day!

lmao... I have to eat a lot of fat due to my surgery choice because I malabsorb a lot.  So, I usually eat full fat babybel, but I know they make a lighter version and I bet it tastes pretty much the same. I'm not just a crazy WLS glutton, I promise!

I woke up yesterday morning feeling quite hungry and not really wanting to cook so I ran to the donut shop and got breakfast for me and my mom and my dad but when I got home my brother had called and wanted us to meet him and Katie for breakfast at Kel's Diner so I only got to drink the chocolate milk and half the jalapeno kolache I got from the donut shop. 9:30am-chocolate milk and 1/2 of a jalapeno kolache 10:45am-one belgian waffle with butter and syrup, 3 slices of bacon, hashbrowns and 16 oz. of iced tea sweetened with Splenda.  2:00pm-one long chocolate covered bavarian creme filled donut and the other 1/2 of the jalapeno kolache 5:30pm-tall iced white chocolate mocha with NF milk and no whip from Starbuck's 8:00pm-3 slices of thin crust mushroom pizza with 2 breadsticks and 2 sides of ranch Consumed 91 oz. of water for the day
