Florida? WLS Networking?

Okay so here is a fun little question... I don't know if this is allowed or what BUT I think this site should list employers that have allowed the people they hire to get weight loss surgery through their work insurance... I guess we could call it networking.

So here is my question.. where in Florida (preferably in the Tampa area but I am open to options) do you work that had WLS in their insurance plan?

Oh and of course if you are not comfortable divulging that kind of info please feel free to just message me privatley.

First thing to keep in mind would be that employers benefits can change each year - the enrollment periods run either calander year or run by a rolling calander year - would be hard to keep up. Whats covered this month may not be covered next month! I personally dont think OH would or should list that information.... If I were the employer I personally wouldnt advertise I covered WLS, if there are an influx of people all having the surgery the amount of claims filed would jump dramatically... that would cause the insurance premium to rise and that cost would be passed along to the employees in most cases. It may also cause the company to offer a lesser plan because of the rising cost. On top of that people would just be taking the job to have WLS... then who is to say they would even stay... come and work for a few months, use the benefits then leave the company? If the company caught on they could start not hiring overweight people fearing they are just wanting the surgery - not legal but hey companies do shady stuff all the time! Or simply drop the benefit from the policy. Just looking from a companies POV Im sure people all the time do look for a job, get the surgery than leave but thats their option *shrug*
