Hey all-new to the board
Hey everyone,
I'm new to this board, actually I'm sort of new to this whole thing, I've been posting very little and reading posts but I still dont really know anyone.
So anyway, I was banded on August 30, 2007. I've lost about 15ish pounds (I dont really know the exact total because I didnt weight myself before surgery--only during my consult almost 2 months earlier). So yea, I haven't lost as much as everyone else, so I'm pretty discouraged. I also think that this has sent me into a slight depression, which is totally annoying.
I'm totally content with my surgery and I dont regret it at all, I just wish I was losing more--I've had 2 fills already. I feel like I'm doing something wrong, which is probably it. I've been very tired these past few months since my surgery. I have like no energy and when I get home from work, I dont go to the gym like I should--guess thats why I'm not losing much weight.
Sorry just totally venting. lol
Welcome Dina! I can see why you are discouraged about the lack of loss, I am not sure of what you eat, or how much but I would take a look at the amount of carbs you take in. Alot of carbs get stored if they arent used up by exercise, so even if you are only eating amall portions but all carbs that mighjt be it. I would try upping the protein seriously and cutting way down on carbs if thats the case. If not, maybe you should have your thyriod checked, but I would def talk to your doc about it. As far as the lack of energy, I know that when I take my vitamins i feel 100% better. give it a try!
