well i'm a big fan of the usual protein sources! beef jerky, i like jacks links peppered, i get it at walmart (cheapest) and it has 15g protein in 1 oz i am also a big fan of cottage cheese with crushed pineapple. i use the full fat, small curd cottage cheese(we all need a little fat in our diet!) and just canned in its own juice crushed pineapple. The 1/2 cup of cottage cheese has 15 grams of protein! i also really like these gensoy (i think) soy white cheddar hearts. It's like a crackery  thing i like, it's 8 grams of protein for 3/4 cup. Not super high but i like them, and i also get those at walmart!  That's pretty much what i do as far as protein goes!

My new fav protein drink is Muscle Milk Light, Chocolate Mint...it is not thick like most and tastes like and andes mint....it's sooooooo goood...it's like a dessert!!!  And, I haven't been able to stomach most protein shakes, and this one has been fine for me!!!!!!  It has 20 grams of protein.  I found it at Meijer.  They also have it at Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, and places like that.  I also use a lot of eggs, jerky, milk, meat, ect...for protein throughout the day!

I also think that jerky is my favorite option. It's salty, chewey, takes a long time to eat, and requires no preperation. It's so conveniant and a good food to eat grab when you are on the go or not at home and trying to avoid the drive through. The problem is the cost. There are cheaper routes to take, but I have found the easiest is to buy the Jack Link''s Original flavor at Wal-Mart. Check the sugar content of any jerky you buy though (if dumping is a concern for you) many jerky's have more sugar in three to four ounces (my usual serving) then I can tolerate.  Other favorite options for me are rolled up lean deli meats like smoked turkey, ham, or roast beef rolled up together with strings of string cheese, sometimes dipped in mustard or honey-mustard (sugar warning again)...I also like eggs or egg substitutes and veggie sasusage links. And don't forget nuts and trail mixes - as long as the fat content doesn't scare you which it shouldn't because it is un-saturated fats mostly....

Nuts (personally I like almonds, macadamias and peanuts) Jerky  Cheese sticks (good with jerky) Cottage cheese Yogurt with Kashi high protien cereal stirred in (kind of like granola) Pepperoni slices, provalone cheese slices on whole wheat crackers Refried beans topped with cheese And of course your standard animal protiens (beef, chicken, pork, and seafood)  Pick a favorite meat and look up recipes that focus on that meat - make a bigger batch than you need then pack up the leftovers in individual sized tupperware things so it is easy to grab on the go.
