I'm baaack!!! I discharged on Friday and stayed with my grandma this weekend. I am glad to be home and back in my own space. I'm not having pain so much as discomfort on my side. And I can't do too much without getting lightheaded, so I'm taking it easy.  I'll report more when I have a little more energy. Right now I'm wiped out!!!  Thanks for all of the supportive comments, posts, and emails. This site has been such a source of great information but even more so a source of support.  Now on to try to get all this water in. It seems to be the only liquid that's pushing gas down. It's pretty uncomfy to drink at this point. Any suggestions?

WELCOME HOME!! I knew you were gonna rock! The gas is the most uncomfortable thing. Keep moving and it should work its way out. Also, it helped me to kneel in front of a chair or something for a few minutes...I almost always tooted my way back to standing. As for the water, sipping is key! Best of luck and let me know if you need anything!

Welcome home!!!! Congrats on being a loser now. As far as getting your water in try it at different temperatures. Thats what I had to do.

Welcome home! Water was hard to sip for me as well... I added Crystal Light like additives and it seemed to help alot!  Must have been the difference in acidity... since water is a nuetral?

yay, glad to hear you are doing well!  Liquids were the hardest part for me...I definitely couldn't handle water at first and added Crystal Light and drank lots of milk.  In the beginning I couldn't drink cold water, so drank all my water room temp, then it changed and now I have to have my water very cold!!   Keep us posted on how you are doing!!!  Congrats on the start of your new life! Yay!  Your on the yellow brick road to AWESOMELAND!!!  Take it easy and listen to your body. Its all about trying different things. I handled cold plain water okay, but it was hard for me at room temp without some additive like berry crystal-lite or a mix in orangey type drink. Even if things seem low for what your supposed to be having...Its OK. It takes time to build up to it. Experiment with your new self! And with the weak feelings, just take it easy on that too...Try to walk for 5 minutes every hour or so if possible. Remember, just a few days ago, all your guts were pushed around and prodded and cut.  They're a little bewildered..in turn making you more tired because they are at work elsewhere lol  Hang in there! Thanks for all the encouraging responses!! I actually slept in my bed tonight for the first time, so that was an improvement. And I'm starting my full liquids today. Thank god. If I have to eat any more broth, I'm going to kill someone ;) I will definitely try the suggestions given for the water... someone mentioned the neutrality, and I definitely think that might be the case.  Thanks again everyone. I'm sure I'll be constantly picking your brains :)
