I am scheduled for surgery February 15th

Hi all I am new here. I'm 23 and living in Tampa. I will be having the lap band operation done (if everything with my job works out) on February 15th. I'm going to Mexico and Having Dr. Joya do the operation. I'm 5'3 and weight 250 something. I'm super nervous about the whole thing and I am trying to get the right information on what I eat after surgery adn for how long.

Hi! Welcome to the 20s board! Congrats on getting the band... When it comes to what to eat after besure to get specific instructions from your surgeons, as all drs are different. Some people are on liquids for a month and i was on liquids a week. Best of luck! Let us know if you have any questions.

Im glad to see that your financing went through! I saw your post on the FL board that you were denied and then I saw this post! Everything must have worked out with your mom then? Thats good! I had the RNY so I cant really help with food after the band but my friend had the band about 1 month ago and she was on liquids for 2 weeks before and after. Good luck!

Actually the financing still didn't work out with my mom I decided to go to antoher place and they gave me a loan for $5,500 which isn't enough btu I am going to put the rest on a credit card. So yeah fun times ahead for me!
