My Wow
I have been working up to becoming one of those people who runs for enjoyment, and I finally completed my first race.
I ran my first 2 miler Saturday - the Celebration in the Oaks run/walk. . . which didn't feel quite like the Christmas season it was celebrating. I believe we had record highs of 83 degrees.
Nevertheless, my friend Juanita and I ran the entire course and finished at 25:13. The time was secondary; I just wanted to get to the end. . .and the beer (it is New Orleans, afterall). I uploaded a photo from the post-run revelry on my profile. So now we are scouting for a 5K in the near future. . .
I enjoy reading about everyone's successes and felt compelled to glow a little.

Ahhh... to enjoy running... a dream. I love alot of different physical acitvities- running has never been one of them. I always feel like I'm going to start a fire with my thighs haha. Looking forward to one day enjoying running! However, I'm hoping to train for the Avon Breast Cancer walk post op.
You're an inspiration! Keep up the awesome work!!!
