Recliner? Bed? Huh?

I've heard various things about sleeping after GBS. Some people tell me they had to sleep in a recliner, some on the coach, and some slept fine in their bed. Some used fancy pillow arrangements. What are your experiences? I'll be staying at my grandma's for a few days (too many dogs who like to jump on me at my house) and want to make sure I have everything over there that I may need before I get there.

Well I had LB and My recliner was my savior...  I still needed help to get out of it.. You never realize how much you use your stomach muscles until you get them all cut up.

i myself slept on my couch. i had open,  so if layed down all the way, it was almost impossble for me to get up. but i only did that for maybe like 4 nites or so, and then it was back to my bed.

I Slept in a recliner for at least 4 nights and it really sucked.  I think the sleeping situation was one of the hardest things for me but the pain medicine helped.  Good Luck.

I have lost 150lbs!!!!!!!!!!

I slept on the sofa for the first week I was home.  The doctor said NO recliners as they can cause you to have problems with circulation in your legs, and result in a higher risk of blood clots. I probably could have been in my bed, but it was lower than my sofa, so it would been harder getting in and out.  I also liked my sofa as it gave me support to lay on my side with out having to hold myself in that position.
