I really would not stress so bad.  Get back on track and no more cheating.  I was hard for all of us who had to do it.  I cheated by having watermelon, but I was at a damn bbq...  It was the worse day of my life lol.  You have a few more days so keep your eye on the prize... BTW, not that I condone this, but we are required to do a 2 weeks liquid diet and my friend didnt do it at all In fact the night before she ate chili!

No biggie... youve stuck to it well so a little cheat is fine IMO... I cheated twice on my two week liquid preop... with your surgery Friday I wouldnt cheat again - the 3 to 4 days before surgery is really the most important time to stick to the liquids. The little chicken and animal crackers did you no harm and you will be fine for surgery... just stick to the liquids between now and then :-)

You will be fine.

Also for me not that I am saying you should/could do this, but my 2 week preop didn't go very well. My first 1.5 weeks was supposed to be only 6oz of either like tuna/chicken/turkey and mostly all liquidy type stuff and yogurt, fruits and vegis. and then the 3 days before surgery only liquids. I ate a lot the first week. Many many many food funerals.

The first two days of week 2 preop I wasnt great but much better than week before. and then the 3rd day (4 days before surgery) is when I basically followed it strict and didnt cheat at all.

My surgery went great, and my doctor even told me I looked great down there and my liver was really tiny. I think it depends on the person. If you just cheated a little bit just get back on track and you will be fine!
Good Luck!

I dont know if this makes any diffrence to you, but my surgeon does not even require a liquid pre-op diet, except for the day before surgery, I wouldnt sweat it too much just stay on track from now on.

First of all...hi to everyone. This is my first post on this forum. Its funny that I came on this forum tonight because I just posted on BAF about this exact topic. Every surgeon has his own set of rules. I found it rather strange that surgeons expect an individual who is used to eating and getting full off of a 4-8 corse meal, to just all of a sudden be able to be satisifed off of liquids for an entire 14 days. My surgeon only requires 7 days, that sounds much more reasonable. Someone told me that the reason they tell you 14 days is because they expect that you'll cheat here or there, but that you'll get on tract closer to your actual date, and your liver will have plenty of time by then to shrink down. So in a sense it sorta works as a mental placebo.
