Howdy!! Name's Heather and I have been lurking. I didn't even know that this board exists until about 5 minutes ago when SheShe told me. I am 21 years old and I am planning on getting the Lap Band procedure Next month. :)  I love it here already. It's more addictive than MySpace and I can access it from work. LOL. Anyway, check out my profile to get to know me, or just ask.

LOL That's how I am... I spend all day on here along with all the stuff I do at work. I love to research anything before I do it. I mean seriously... I'll research a brand of mascara for like TWO weeks before I'll buy.. And don't get me started on car seats and strollers... Or the gel nails I get in my mani... I'm such a dork... Anyway. I've learned SO much from this forum already. I'm literally taking notes.

Also, congrats on your BAND,  I am biased, but I say it is the best WLS and I wouldn;t get anything else.

Neither would I!! I would be too scared. I don't think that my surgeon would be too keen on the idea of me getting anything else. I am just barely obese enough for the Band.

Hey it's a personal choice, and you get the one you want.  But, that is just how I stand.  When the pros and cons were laid out for me...it was a no brainer.

Welcome Heather! Yes it is addicting here. I would rather play here than myspace anyday! And like you I can get to here from work, lol. But once again welcome!

Thank you! You look SO good. I wish that I could ride a horse without fearing I'd break it's back!!

Thanks for the compliment. And you'll get to where you want with the right determination. One of my main reasons for surgery was my horse. I needed to out live her not the other way around. She needs her "mommy" lol. Im just glad I can ride again I stopped for too long as once I hit 270lbs I REFUSED to ride. Not that I couldnt its cause I wouldnt do that to the horse. But now I cant ride because of my hernia , which normally wouldnt stop me but my horse can be a handlful. Oh well
