Don't let that get you down, my weight would do that shortly after surgery and was generally due to water retention. I know I could panic if I didn't lose any weight for a week and then all of a sudden it would start dropping again. I kept thinking, what am I doing wrong! Just stay positive!  Been awhile but I don't know what a 5 day pouch test is! Sorry! Best Wishes!! Laura

I have not done the five day pouch test but heard it works. You can find a lot of info about it on the WLS grad forum and the website is www.5daypouchtest.com  I think! Holli

dont let the 2lb gain get you down. In one day the scale said I gained 3 lbs 2 days later I had lost 6 lbs. I have heard a lot about the pouch test. I was thinking of trying it. If you do, let us know how it went.

Honestly there is no reason for you to do the 5 day pouch test... you are very early out and your pouch hasnt stretched and there isnt anything abnormal going on.

Do you have one specific weigh day a week or did you just randomly weigh yourself? Its important to pick one day and weigh in the morning - during the course of a day you weight will change... during the week your weight will change. Things like hormones and salt can make you put on water weight... I swear if the wind blows I may go up a pound (or 4) but I know it will drop right back off. Our bodies naturally fluctuate up to 5lbs at any given time... this is true for everybody. Over time you will learn what your body naturally does - i.e. mine is usually 1-2lbs, sometimes 3-4lbs.

Just focus on your protein, water and exercise and you will see results.
