Is there a liquid diet pre RNY? My surgery is coming up and I was just wondering! Thanks!

Its surgeons preference... you will have to check with yours :-) some require 2 weeks liquid pre-op, some 1 week, some 1 day, some nothing....

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

Extended TT, lipo, fat injections - 11/2011

BA/BL/Arm Lift - 7/2014

Scar revision on arms - 3/2015

HALO laser on arms/neck 9/2016

Thigh Lift 10/2020

I am on day 5 of my two week liquid diet.. on optifast.. it is really terrible.. I hope you don't have to do it!! BUT it means I am having surgery in 11 days!

My doctor only required 1 day liquid diet & it SUCKED! This was the worst part, the surgery was a breeze! My head was booming! Buy some sleep aid and headache meds to make it through! Of course, ask your doctor what you can take to help! Good luck~ Holli
