Hi, This question is for people who had their surgery in their early 20's (I'm 21). I was wondering about how your skin is/was. Did you have plastics? Did you skin sag a lot? Did it sag initially, and then "snap back" slowly? Just curious! Thanks. I know this situation varies from person to person.

My skin sucked :(  It didn't bounce back as planned and plastics are/were needed.  I had my tummy tuck in June and want to schedule for the sides and upper back to be done for my birthday next year.  My Panni was almost to my knees! :( My arms are not *that* bad.... but you can definately tell they could use some work.  I've been working on them alot since I definately won't be able to do anything surgically with them for quite some time.

The more things the change, the more they're still the same.

I am not in my early 20's, but I was 27 when I had surgery. My skin has not moved, didn't bounce back. The arms are a dead give away that one has had WLS, but I am fine with the arms.....it is the stomach, YUCK! I will have a TT in December~ Holli

i was freaking about o but my doc just told me that its going to take a while to snap back a little....he said it will take about 18 months, then after that decide if you need a tuck or what not.  he gave me bariatric garments...a tight tan colored bodysuit that you need to start wearing now and its gonna 'remind' your skin where it needs to be.  they are so not very confy but its helping me...i didnt have my surgery yet...soon...but i started wearing them already and noticed that my tummy is already tightening up with the small weight i had to lose on my own...it gives great back support too.  have lots of calcium, tums are best, and drink water out the azz!!
