Eating Good in the 20's Neighborhood - The Ressurection

OK, I'm going to try to ressurect this daily ritual. It helps me stay focused and encourages me to use fitday. It also helps us discover new menu options and recipes, while increasing accountability. So hear goes! b: 1 egg and some egg whites, with RF swiss cheese, onions, peppers, and ham, plus some low-carb ketchup l: south beach savory beef and cheesy broccoli s; about ten tortilla chips and four tablespoons of cheesy spinach artichoke dip d: thin crust bbq chicken pizza from Target - I ate one serving but skipped half of the crust s: deli smoked turkey with a LF string cheese I also worked in two or three bottles of water, and two sf soy lattes prepared at home and the survey (fitday) says: 1084 calories, 48 g of fat, 69 g of carbs, 90 g of protein .....not too bad, calories and protein were just a little bit lower then I would like to see, and despite trying to watch my carbs, they were still a little high - I like to keep them under 60, but that brings out a good point - If I'm watching my carbs and still getting in almost 70g of them, imagine how many you could sneak in in one day if you weren't paying attention to them.

I dont really keep track of things anymore... just mentally... my daily goals are as follows 900-1100 calories/40-60g protein/30g fat/90-100g carbs. Where I tend to go over is fat and carbs so I keep my eye on those... basically to watch the carbs I try and limit to 2 servings of bread/starch the rest comes from fruit/veggies/dairy B - Trader Joes apple cranberry fiber muffin (13g or 16g of fiber for only 80 calories, 1.5g of fat and I think 22 carbs!!!) 12oz of light soy milk with Davinci SF chai tea syrup (I wait the 1/2 hour between eating a drinking!!)  L - 2/3oz deli turkey wrapped in a green lettuce leaf, 6 carrots, 6 raspberries, serving of soy hearts  Usually I have an afternoon snack but there is a support group meeting tonite... a few of us meet for dinner first and we are going to this little sandwich place. I think I have decided on the french wrap - brie cheese, sliced granny smith apples, sprouts, lettuce... I think thats it... Ill have 1/2 of that for dinner with a side salad or maybe some soup.. they had turkey chili on the menu that looked good!!!

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

What are soy hearts???  lol  Are they like Artichoke hearts, but from soy nuts?

I compare them to chex cereal... but heart shaped and made from soy. They come in lightly salted (yum) and white cheddar (yuck). I loves them :-)

Thank you thank you thank you Mike!  Today is the day I'm getting back on track myself and you just reinterated it into my head :) B- Shake: 12 oz decaf coffee, 2 sc chocolate protein powder, 1/2 sweet n low L- Tuna w/ pickle slices, cheese, and some mayo, 1 slice whole grain wheat bread D- Jumbo Patty @ Jack w/ american and swiss cheese I am still planning my menu... but that's what I have so far.  I know I have to have some more to eat and have roughly 250 more cals to work with according to thedailyplate.com..... Cals:  878 Fat:  30 Carbs:  33 Protein: 120 I already have 42 oz of water- sipping it now, will have tons more by tonight!

Yesterday: B: 1 egg, 1tbsp of potato S: 4 oz protein shake L: Peanut butter 1tbsp and 4 crackers S: 4 oz protein shake D: 1/2 tortilla browned with 1 ounce FF cheese and 1oz tuna 1tsp sourcream Today: B: 8oz skim Milk 1oz cherios S: 8oz protein shake L: 2 oz tuna 1tbps mayo 3 crackers S: Sugar free fat free chocolate pudding (pudding cup) D: 1/2 tortilla browned with 1 ounce FF cheese and 1 oz canned tuna 1tsp sour cream S: 4 oz protein shake (I still have food restrictions, I just got canned tuna and chicken last week so I am loving that)

Ok i'm a day late on this one... bit Mike, seriously, you posted this at like 2 pm yesterday! I don't know what i'm having for dinner til after i eat it at like 7! DId you REALLY have dinner at 2 or was that what you were planning to eat!? B: 3/4 SB diet bar (15) S: 2 oz of beef jerky (30) L: left over red lobster, 7 shrimp, a few bites of baked potato and about 1/2 of a cheesy biscut S: This is where i went bad! A few sunchips, a few cashews, and a little beef jerky... That was me running around getting all my crap together for tap and then remembering..HEY! You need to eat something! D: A peice of fish and a few baked fries.  My day was good and then it went ALLL down hill! woopsies! Today will be better
