AH!!!
OK...so, I need some advice...I have my first post-op DATE!!! AND...it's with a guy I met online, so I am kind of freaking out!!!!! He's soo cute and sooo sweet, but I have never met anyone online in person so I'm really nervous!!! How should I calm myself down? Maybe a glass of wine?? haha, juuust kidding!
He is taking me to a comedy show which I am very excited about and we are eating there. I am a little nervous about eating in front of him since I won't be eating much, I think he'll think I'm a weirdo!!! Maybe I'll just order soup or something. AHH, I'm sooo excited, but sooo nervous!!! Any advice would help! Thanks!!!

I myself have often thought about online dating, but am afraid of the stigma of it....meaning how others, especially older family members, will react about meeting a young lady / mate / significant other (or whatever your case is) online.
Yeah, my best friend asked for his picture so she would have it if I go missing...I'm like, COOOME ON!!!! I haven't told my Mom yet that I met him online...we'll just see how tonight goes and then see from there. I know a growing number of people who have met their husbands/wives online. I think it's becoming way more popular...I wouldn't worry about what others think as long as your happy!!

I agree with many of your points. I'm just so worried about what people like my old fashioned rural mother would think about meeting a significant other online.
Well, I met my husband online... We met when he was a freshman at Penn State and I was a sophomore in High School. We've been together going on 9 years and married going on 5. I think online relationships/marriages are awesome. As far as relaxing.. I don't know if you really can. I think it's the same kind of nerves you get when you have a blind date except for the fact that you talked online enough to know that you wanted to meet in person. I wish you the best of luck. Be honest with him if nothing else in terms of food. Tell him you had surgery if you're worried about the food. Or.. order something small. Soup and chili are always good standby.

Brock, For a long time Aaron and i fibbed and told everyone that we ran into each other at school, but after we got married we told everyone yeah we actually met online. A few people we told from the beginning but it is becoming a lot more common to date online so I would enjoy it. A little fib never hurts :)
And remember if you end up with a serious girl or a wife eventually your family will just be happy for you!

Thanks for all your input guys......I just went in confident and had a GREAT time!!! AND...I think he really liked me!! WAHOO!! I'm stoked! I was only nervous walking up and after that it was great. We went to a comedy club which was probably the best first date ever. It was awesome. We shared some food too, which was perfect...he didn't even notice how little I ate!!!!! Life is gooooooood!!!
