Today is MY SURGERYVERSAY!!!
YES, today is my one year anniversary or should I say "SURGERYVERSAY"!! I MADE IT!!! I am so excited for today and the journey that I have been on over the last 12mths. I am not at my personal goal, YET, but I am HAPPY. I am so grateful that I took the step to change my life. Surgery has been the answer to my prayers. I went from 268lbs to 165lbs, total of 103lbs lost thus far........
It is so funny how weight can control every aspect of your life and you not even know it. This surgery has opened my eyes so that I can make other changes in my life. At first it seemed as if everything was physical but that's sooo not true, this surgery is more mental. Yes, MENTAL! - And that was a challenge that I was not necessarily ready to take but I had to jump aboard for the ride. This year has been a rollercoaster ride, filled with it's good, bad, scary, sad moments. But my life has been changed for the better. I decided to "Change my MIND so that I could CHANGE MY LIFE". Some many doors have opened and will continue to open, now I just have to step out on faith to walk through those doors.
