Best Birthday Present EVER!!! (DATE!) (crosspost)

SOOO!!! Big news - I FINALLY got a surgery date! November 19th is the big day! My birthday is November 23rd, so this couldn't be better timing. Unfortunately, Vocation Rehabilitation in my county denied my application/whatever. They sent it to Raleigh for the slim chance it would be approved there. So, my parents are using a loan to pay for this. This will be, like I said, the biggest birthday present ever from them. Even though I am SO frustrated that I wasted three months on VR with no luck, I realize how blessed I am to have the family I do. So, it's a little bittersweet, but I am SO relieved I finally have a surgery date!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoo hooo!  You at least have a date!  Your parents sound like wonderful people, hug them lots!

CONGRATS!!!!!  My birthday is Nov. 23rd too!!!!!!!!!!     

Way to go! It's awesome that you can count on your family to help you out, if only all patients had such support from their loved ones!
