Just wanted to whine a little today

Today I am having a hard time accepting my post-WLS body.. some days I feel ok and others day (like today) I am just blah. PS is so expensive... its something that is SO far away in my future unless I hit the lotto or find me a rich man who wants to pay *grin*. I just long to have a more 'normal' body and not deal with this flab. I have decided I am going to see if I can get insurance to pay for a panni or TT... I start with Cigna next month (UGH!) and am going to go thru the process... I dont have much faith but figure it is worth the try. I have been getting more back pain as the weight has dropped and I think its from my belly!  Anyways just wanted to share my blahness.

i totally know exactly what ur going through. my skin is the last thing stopping me from feeling like a "normal" person. i look normal covered up. but i am very self conscience of what i look like under my clothes. and i am always thinking people are looking at my arms. they hang a lot. i have had to learn how to point without my bat wings showing too much. i also have a problem with insurance covering mine. so i am hoping to hit the lottery also, or find me a sugar momma.

The freaking bat wings drive me crazy... I see people looking at my arms if I am wearing a short sleeved shirt (forget about sleeveless!). It makes me even more self concious because I KNOW other people see it and think ewwwww!

Jennifer, Oh yes sagging skin can play hell with your back. Make sure you have your doctor note this. Cause every probloem you have, rashes, pain etc helps in the fight to get the removal covered by insurance. BUT one big thing, most insurance companys want you at least 18 months post-op AND stable at around the same weight for 6 months. Compliance thing. I have already been looking into it. Just I now have the open door policy on it because of my newly formed hernia, my bad was working on my truck, damn axle plug. Much luck and I would check into there "requirements" first before trying to go through the motions.

Awww girl, I'm sorry.  I bet you money that I'm going to feel the same way after I lose my weight.  I have such an over-hanging belly now, that I know it's going to be just awful after my weight is gone.  I don't even want to think about it.  Ugh...  Try insurance.  It can't hurt.

All I can say - start saving now. I wish when I first went to the surgeon somebody just said to start saving.... everybody tries to be so positive and tells you to wait and I think it was a waste of time. Even if I was fine at least I would have had a bunch of $$ saved up and could have had some fun with it!!!
