Yesterday I was talking to a couple of ppl who had lap-band here at work.  One girl hasnt had it but was curious.  I told them how I am 2 1/2 weeks out and 32 lbs lighter.  She said,  I can tell in your face that you are losing weight.. Congrats. Thats not even the best part! I was washing my hands in the bathroom and she walks in a double takes me.  Then she stops and says, WOW I didn't realize it yesterday but I can tell you have lost alot of weight all over, You are shrinking before my eyes! I was so happy someone mentioned it (other then my husband who says everyday I must have lost like 20 lbs haha He is so supportive).  I thanked her and told her how great I feel.  It really is amazing!

Thats wonderful sweetie! Isn't it great when others notice how well you're doing? I get that now and then, I haven't had surgery yet but I've lost 100lbs so far. I love it when someone notices without me bringing it up! :)  Congrats !!!

Oh get used to it girly. you're gonna be hearing stuff like that for a long time. and it feels just as good everytime. just wait until you see someone you haven't seen in a long down the road, and get a load of their reaction. it's a feeling so hard to explain. i have even run into people i havent seen since high school, like 8 years, and they completely were baffled. i had to tell them who i was. they said they thought it looked like but only half. and the furhter down the road you get the more you will get and the reactions are more exciting. enjoy this brite side of WLS!!

It is awsome I totally agree. But I agree its even better when its someone you havent seen in a while. I floored 2 of my friends they had not seen me since surgery (at the time I was a year and 5 months post-op). They were AMAZED. It was so cool. So enjoy it, it is great everytime!
