Hey guys, 2 nights in a row!  WOAH!  Today was a good day.  My second opinion's column came out today in the school newspaper and I got some positive feedback from my felow undergrads (you can't beat that).  That made me very happy.  Food was good too.   8:30 - 12 oz hazelnut coffee w/ 8 oz steamed skim milk and 2 packets splenda 11:00 - 1/2 the insides of a pepperoni calzone (yummy melted cheese and pepperoni with a little bit of sauce) 32 oz water 4:00 - medium golden delicious apple 24 oz water 7:00 - 3 oz peanuts and 2 squares chocolate (I'm sorry, I'm craving chocolate like a fiend) And I'm thinking of maybe some tea soon. How about you?  What was your day like?  How did you do for food?  Let's hear it!

In my defense for the last snack, i had a HUGE argument with my DH were nothing was resolved ...and i need to find another way to deal with emotional stress!

You've gotta have a breadstick sometimes.  It's okay.  The only thing I would be worried about is that trigger to turn to food when things go wrong, but you already know that so no brow beating here because I understand.  That cream cheese, nutrasweet, cocoa powder mix sounds like something I used to eat when I was doing atkins before I had WLS.  It had cocoa powder, cream cheese, splenda and all natural peanut butter then I rolled it into balls and stuck them in the fridge until they firmed up - they were REALLY good and relatively low carb (kinda fat heavy though).  I'm glad to see you posting!

Ooh, what do you think of the kashi hot cereal mix?  I was craving oatmeal the other day and thought about trying the kashi.  You'll have to tell me if it is any good.  You are doing phenominal for food   I am very impressed.  Keep up the good work!

The cereal I got was maple and cinnamon or something.. and its very bland... really no flavor.. I am sure I can figure out how to spice it up. Its very filling thou and good if you want something hot. I saw they have vanilla oatmeal and am going to try that this week instead. Ive been eating Fiber One bars for bfast for months and am tired of them!! On Fridays I eat one of the Jimmy Dean Delights breakfast sammies.. its egg whites, turkey sausage and cheese (which I pull off most of the fat is in there!) on english muffin... very tasty!!! I eat 1/2 for bfast and 1/2 for a snack!

I used to LOVE whole milk and my DH still gets it (I get a 1/2 gallon of skim and he gets a 1/2 gallon of whole).  He used to work on a farm so he got to drink it almost fresh from the cow.  Now the fat content makes me feel pukey so I avoid it, but if I could handle it I would for sure have some in my coffee.   You asked in the other thread what my doc is going to do for me and as for now - NOTHING.  They sent me home with a new tube after I accidentally ripped my other one out last weekend and I'm supposed to "experiement" with what helps and what doesn't.  When I asked him on this last Monday if I needed to schedule any follow up appointments for the next round of tests, consults or whatever and he told me "no, I think we can do everything over the phone."  It makes me want to cry whenever I think about it.  I'm going to see my PCP next week to see if she can light a fire under my surgeon for me because it seems like he has just lost interest or given up but I'm still here and in need of a PERMANENT solution.  It sucks, but I'm hanging in there and life goes on.  If something doesn't change soon I might take you up on that offer to kick him for me. I really appreciate seeing you post to this and other threads.  You are too cool!
